Do you take Gabapentin for Bipolar?!

Question: What are the side effects, good and bad? I was given 100mg today for this and i need to know. Did you gain weight? Can you also give me some info on it? I'm scared to take it but my mom says that it's what the doc wants me to take.

This seems to be a bit of a controversial treatment option, but at a scan, here is a decent link to follow for more info.

Your mum is absolutely right, you need to take your meds as your doc recommends because they are what keeps you stable.

I've never heard of using Gabapentin (Neurotin) for Bipolar. Are you sure that was why it was prescribed? It is normally prescribed for nerve pain but it does have other uses as well. The first week you take it you'll get very sleep all the time, and then your body will adjust and you won't notice it much except for maybe a dry mouth.

neither
