How can I screw up my realtionship with food?!


Question: I can't control my eating, It's starting to take over my life. So I'm taking action.

I want all methods possible to make me hate food, be scared of it etc.

I am 100% serious on this, hateful or just plain stupid answers will be ignored, I'm just looking for help!

I suggest DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy) to get your relationship with food under control. You are correct that you need to change the way you relate to food, but you are seeing this in black and white (love/hate) which is unhealthy either way. Food is fuel for your body so that you can live your life, plain and simple, nothing more or less. I'm putting in a link to a DBT self-help website. DBT has helped so many people I know (including myself) change their lives due to many different addictions, mental illnesses, etc.

Dont go overboard trying to "hate" food. Food is neccessary to sustain our life. Rather, educate yourself about nutrition. That should include proper eating habits, additives in foods, etc. The more you know the better armed you are in selecting a proper nutrition. Often, when we lack balance in our nutrition, our body tells us that we are craving something and rather then finding the thing we crave, we eat more.

There is no reason for you to "Hate" food. Just try to eat an average three times a day meal. If you think you might over do your meals then why don't you throw out the junk food and foods that you know you cant resist. After a month of eating like that try putting a big bowl of food on the table and see how much you ate. If you only ate three or four things then you can now have all the food you want in your house without eating it in one day!

What you don't buy, you can't eat. Rashion your money or give it to someone you trust and onky take out what you need for necessities.

well if you end up "hating" food you can go from one extreme to another. You could even end up diying or having serious health risks. Its not about not eating or anything like that, thats just extremely silly.

do you really want to end up as one of those people that wont eat their food and have all those risks to their health?

exercise supreses your apetite, one of the best diet i know is the weight watchers diet, which i am on now atm.

it works by a point system you can eat what ever you want as long as you dont go over your daily point alowance. so far in one week i lost 4 pound

another thing is when you crave wait 10 minutes and you wil forget about eating.

seriously though. dont hate food you need it to live!

Exercise more to boost your metabolism so you eat food less.
Eat more fruits and vegatables over the foods you really love.
