If there were a suicide pill, would you take it?!
Question: Say, a pill prescribed by a doctor, that once ingested, you would die peacefully and with no pain, you would just drift of into sleep and not wake up. Would you take a thing?

It's a shame when young and fit people kill themselves, but as we get older and are in constant pain, then it's too bad there's no suicide pill. I know for myself I would feel much relieved if I knew there was a legal, painless way out.
But as it is, religious types who are terrified of dying make the rules. They can't talk about dying, and they can't even admit to themselves that they'll die - so certainly suicide is a BIG SIN. But we'll put a dirty dog to sleep to stop his pain - but we won't allow it for a human being. What odd people we are.

If you asked me this question when I was in my teens or even ten years ago, I would probably say yes. However, my life has turned out so well and I've witnessed the pain people feel for those they have lost through suicide.
So no. I wouldn't.

Yeah, I would take it. I don't see any point in life, so therefore there's no reason to live it. And I always feel as if people would be better off without me. So I would take that pill the first time I could, without a doubt.

If you would have asked this 6 months ago I would have said yes with out a second thought. I still struggle with suicidal thoughts but I'd never act on them now...not after almost taking my life and almost loosing my best friend...
Yes definately if I was dying or one of my family had cancer or some other horrid disease, no question about it the answer is YES......(Been thru cancer ward 3 times already) We treat our animals better....~~~Liz.................ps...No... said suicide pill,I have no time for weaklings who take the easy way out.Im talking cancer go thru a cancer hospice,then start preaching about god and its a sin to commit suicide.Where is god when people need him ?
No...the reason I haven't killed myself is because I don't want to disappoint God or my family and friends.
