I'm on it and mine haven't stopped. I read through the symptoms and it doesn't mention anything about stopping them although the side effects are different for different people so it is highly possible that it can stop you're periods.

There is usually a paper that comes with prescriptions that explains the side effects. Also, your pharmacist could tell you or you could ask your doctor. Or you could go to the pharmaceutical company's website and check there.

I had a friend that was on fluoxetine and it did not stop her period. But bellow are some of the more common symptoms.

drowsiness, dizziness, weakness;
*
runny nose, sore throat, headache, flu symptoms;
*

nausea, diarrhea, changes in appetite;
*
weight changes;
*
decreased sex drive, impotence, or difficulty having an orgasm; or
*
dry mouth, increased sweating.

This is not a standard side effect of Fluoxetine. But in very rare case it can happen. Best solution is switch over to other medicine and see the effect. It is possible that if your mood is elevated as a result of Fluoxetine therapy , then period can stop due to sudden mood change.
