Completely unable to focus in school?!

Question: I love all of my classes. I did not pick any that my friends did so I would focus and not talk. When I'm sitting in class if I see something blue it draws my attention away from the teacher. I also feel really hyper but I don't eat or drink anything fulled with sugar. If someone is playing with their marker or something that draws my attention. What can I do? Sometimes I can't sit still.

Are you thinking about me again ... wink wink ...

I would say you have a hyper or AD type issue. They have meds but I recommend not using them.

Try just telling yourself that I am in class to learn and your focal point is the study/s at hand and pay attention to the teacher and not the student. If something or someone distracts you, then alert the teacher or ask that person not to if they please.

You'll be an over achiever and are smarter then those who sit around you. so don't sweat the small stuff...you'll be great one day..

U probobly have ADHD go see ur learning mentor

you sound like you have ADD or ADHD.

It's school. It's boring. The brain is designed to concentrate for ten minutes at a time - any longer and it starts to look for other forms of stimulation. Relax! Have a Twix.

Fresh air, sunlight, better diet.

Yeah, that happened to me my entire years through high school and college.

Basically, your body and mind is telling you that it wants to move around, physically, and engage yourself in real life. Not sit down like a mindless drone and be programmed like a microwave.

ADD medication will definitely help you to deal with the public school regimen. Just try to maintain perspective that the school program is meant to suppress creativity and independent thought, not increase it.

I agree with Emma and Saverain. Try to get as much sun and exercise as you can, it may help you focus, and doesn't have the negative side effects that ADD medication has.

i dont know wht it is it might be your problem ask ur mom or dad wait did u tell them about this? E-MAIL ME

u most likely have ADHD because my baby cousin has that and that's what she does when is don't take her pills
