Is there any activity which can be (therapeutically) positive to schizophrenic p!

Question: It really depends on whether or not the person is being treated by anti psychotic medication or not. Whether in treatment or not basically doing whatever the person can do to decrease the amount of external stimulation they should do. An example would be to avoid situations where they are with crowds of people, such as malls at peak time. Some persons with schizophrenia find relief from voices by using a walkman and playing music loudly to drown out the voices.

I don't know if you would consider this an activity or not, but talking with a therapist once a week is very positive. Also joining a support group really works. Finally encourage family to join a support group as well so that they can better understand the disease. In the way of physical activity Yoga with supervised meditation can really be enlightening.
Good luck!

yes, get a small tv set...then get a camera...and set the camera just above the tv set so u can see yourself...now get the schizo and tell him to sit there ,then walk away..or better yet get anotehr camera a smaller one ,stick it in a pot plant and leave the room and watch him watch himself while u watch him on ur camera...

exercise and prayer

art is helpful. Remember, many people with schizophrenia also have stress and depression, and that would aggravate the schizophrenia.

Anyone wants to be needed and useful. Volunteer jobs can be a good thing, adjusted according to the person's abilities.

I agree with exercise, absolutely - most drugs for schizophrenia cause morbid obesity and early death (average age of death for general public - 78 years, for people with a major mental disorder, 51)

Also, smoking cessation programs
