What else was happening to make you scared? What exactly was it you were afraid of?

Was it just the fact that you were alone? If so, I wonder if something happened once before when you were alone.

Well, someone banging loudly and suddenly on the door would make you scared, and that's completely normal under those circumstances. I guess you didn't find out who it was? I've had similar things happen to me, and it is frightening I admit. Age has nothing to do with it.

This can become a self-fulfilling prophecy if you let it. By that, I mean that the fear of something happening (in your case, the fear of being afraid) can actually make it happen. Try to think of this episode as a one-off. Tell yourself that it was scary, but it isn't happening anymore, and it is unlikely to happen again. If you do get that feeling again, remind yourself that it is in the past, it is over and done with. You can do it.

why are you scared? are you afraid the bad men will break into your house and steal you away?

maybe its a ghost... :P
