A cool qiet room is much better than an overheated room---when the body goes to rest the metabolism goes down and so we don't need the warm air as much. Warm covers are needed because when the body doesn't move as much it doesn't generate enough heat--and sleeping in a cool room requires that the body stays warm. I sleep, whenever possible, with an open window(except in summer when it's too hot), and in winter time I sleep under a down comforter--I sleep a lot better since I started that.....

Hunny, it is actually proven that a colder room makes you sleep better. I think its between 64-67.

i cant sleep when its too hot or cold i prefer it cooler for sleeping then being up because i'm under blankets

A cool, dark and quiet room is recommended to help sleep.
So, pull that shade, turn down that thermostat and keep it quiet. Pleasant Dreams.
