Your true feelings, and negative feelings caused from Bipolar disorder?!

Question: Okay say there is something/one in your life, that you've loved for most of your life, but you begin to have doubts about it, you feel good one moment with it, then bad the next, etc. You are then told by a Doc, that you are Bipolar. My question is, do you believe that your "True" feelings are still within you, just as powerful as before, only now the Bipolar is putting up some road blocks in your way?

No matter how negative and bizzare your thoughts may become due to your bipolar disorder, they're just that - due to the disorder, not your true feelings. The real you is underneath all that no matter what. It just takes the proper treatment to get to a point where you can see which is which.

i am bipolar and i know how you feel. one moment i love everyone and everything the next i hate the world. i think that i do actually love the things but the bipolar disorder makes me mad at everything or as you said put up road blocks

Well my friend, seeing as Bipolar is a disease which I believe can be overcome...NO IT CANNOT! I think it all depends on the type of life you want it to be. Its like saying that you make lots and lots of money, but the moment you get it you spend it all. Who's the one that's responsible? You are.
I believe that you make this life the way that you want it. If you want to be a happy person, you can be a happy person, but if you want to be a person full of anger, there is only one person that can allow yourself to be full of anger, and that is you. I think Bipolar is just an excuse they make to allow you to take drugs that inhibit your body from doing certain things, only because you yourself cannot control you yourself. Yes I believe the feelings are there, but have you ever heard the saying, "Treat others as you would want them to treat you?" Its a whole "I scratch your back if you scratch mine". I don't know what triggers your bipolar moments, but try putting yourself in someone else's shoes before jumping into that attack. Again there is only one person that can keep those attacks from happening, and the finger points directly at you. Good luck friend! Remember, only you can make this life into what YOU want it to be.

yes. I have not been told by a doctor but i do belive that im bipolar. and sometimes im so upset about things i shouldnt be like being with my boyfriend. sometimes i just want to break up with him for no reason but then i have that voice in the back of my head telling me not to do it. i have a deep sadness within me that no pills i think would help it.and i dont want them because i know that as you say my true feelings are still within me and they can bust through those road blocks

If the feelings for that thing have been there your whole life as you said, logic would tell you that the feelings are still there unless that specific thing, and not you, has changed... that being said i was recently diagnosed bi-polar and definatley know the feeling of stagnation. when im thinking positivley i see the future of it all clicking into place.
