What is wrong with me? Please help.?!


Question: A get up and dont want to do anything. I lay on the couch all day long and have my laptop and write questions and answers on yahoo, play party poker or something and just dont have the motivation to do anything. Ill play video games, sleep, eat and then back to my computer. Can anyone tell me what in the world is wrong with me. I have no motivation. I have a lot of things I need to do but I just dont have the motivation. Please help and tell me whats wrong?

hmm, sounds familiar:)
You need to reflect on what makes u jump off that couch..what trully interests you..what u would like to become (engineer, vet, social worker, electrician, artist..don't let anyone tell you you can't do it or that your dream is silly). But do reflect..it's because you don't know what you want yet that you don't feel motivated to go get it.

Sometimes this apathy I believe is felt when we're not allowed to be what we want to be...like say parents pressure a kid to become a doctor but he wants to be a writer...One needs to be honest with himself/herself and evaluate their passions.

In the meantime, go to the gym, go out of the house..hang out with people...get a dog...get a part-time job...socialize!

Been there, done that. You need a new routine. Start by getting up a little earlier and making a list the night before of what you need to do. Don't you have a job?? I finally got a new routine and have been changing my process. It only takes a few weeks of doing something new to take hold. Get outta the slump. It will work out, I promise!

Sounds like depression. What are you thinking about when you get up in the morning. If so, that drained you when you first got up. Also confidence and self talk against the negative feelings will help too! Exercise will help your body to have the energy it needs to do what you have to do and (not to be mean, but it will get rid of lazyness) Good luck!!

It can be many things. Like the previous answers, you may be in a rut; you may have depression.
You may be anemic from poor diet.
You may be tired from lack of exercise.
If you can, go to a doctor and ask for a physical. That might give you an idea of where to start.
