What to do about ADHD?!
Question: I have symptoms of ADHD. I won't go into detail, but they're affecting my life and my GPA.
Where can I go to get a screening for ADHD and what do I say? Is it legal to tell me refuse my request for a screening and wave me off with something such as short attention span or too much coffee?
I am really scared to go to the campus health center because they blame everything on your sexual health.
I was thinking of making my mom take me, but I don't know what to say to her. .
Please don't give me sarcastic/inappropriate answers. I really need your help.

Does your campus have a consuling center? They can provide the service. Also your health center probally have psychiatrists that they can refer you to.
Finally, if you have insurance, you can just go to any psychiatrist that is part of your insurance plan.
Generally doctors take requests seriously, the problem is that the drugs used to treat ADHD are very much abused on college campuses and college health centers see alot of people faking symptoms to get the drugs, but generally they should treat your request as genuiene.

If it seems that you have ADHD, you can see a psychiatrist or a psychologist who can make that assessment in one session and help you out therapeutically. Don't be ashamed to talk to her--take the quiz, print it out, print out some symptoms of it, and then show her everything. She wants her child to do well in school, so I'm sure by showing her you want to be your best, she'll help steer you to a professional to help figure things out.
