No, i dont think so, suicide crosses all classes all religions all age groups pretty evenly.

I don't think so. I think suicide attempts are a cry for help from overwhelming circumstances that often build up. A rich person, as you have noted, may encounter less hardships in their lifetime and I think that would be more cause for less suicides there. The trouble with this is that numerous times very rich people (ie. celebrities) tend to due drugs and such, sometimes leading to overdose etc. This could either be something completely unrelated as celebrities have added stress, or it could make this theory completely null. My two cents.

well..here's the thing. when i was a freshman, i was really close to this girl who was one of those popular-rich types and was in the "most popular" clique of my freshman class....like, she lived in the county, big *** house and she seemed really happy. but after i got closer to her, i realized that the smile she gave at school wasn't what happens at night. she always took too many tylenol pm...you'd never thought she would do that. but it just goes to show you that the people who have everything going for them ya know, the rich family they come from, the clothes they can buy and the cars they drive...doesn't make 100% of them happy. and the worst thing about it, is the litle snobs those people hang out with would scare them so bad, they'd never open up because they're afraid of people saying you're disgusting or something.
so yeah, the people who have everything going for them have a higher risk...cause they simply do not know what to do.
