I have noticed that my OCD tends to worsen when I'm under any type of stress. And I mean ANY. Anything from unexpected weather changes, to extreme stress at work. I know it's impossible to be totally stress free (especially with OCD, which is stressful just to live with on a daily basis) but maybe some relaxation techniques would help. I find that during the most stressful times I can alleviate some of my anxiety by breathing deeply and positive self talk. I have used this and other relaxation tecniques to avoid the OCD induced severe anxiety attacks that can land us in the hospital. It has gotten me through such tough ordeals as co-workers purposely inducing OCD anxiety attacks with their actions just to unhinge me, because they think it's funny or whatever (everyone that I work with knows about my OCD and are generally understanding but we all know there are some really mean people in the world, but that has almost put me in the hospital). I know it's tough but I have found this to be the most helpful thing for me. Maybe, due to the severity of your OCD, you could try yoga, or some form of meditation or prayer daily. I hope this helps! Best of luck to you, remember there are others out there suffering right along with you, you're not alone in this.

my mom's boyfriend has ocd, almost every other day a part of the house is rearranged

I don't think that mine is as extreme as yours, but I have OCD in a weird way. I hate water! When water touches my hands and my feet, I immediately need lotion! I will freak out! I will lick my fingers (not my feet, lol), until I find lotion. I have to sleep with socks on, because I hate the dry feeling on my feet. If I am not using my hands on something, they will most of the time be tucked into a fist position, so that they stay moist, or sweaty. I can not, absolutely can not stand the feeling of dry sand on my hands or feet, and watching people's feet in the air, after they are wet, drying in the wind, makes me cringe. People make fun of me all the time, and I usually laugh with them, but it is no joke. I hate it! I don't know the extreme of your OCD, but I don't know if there is a cure for it. I haven't researched on it at all, because it doesn't ruin my life by having it. It just complicates things a lot. Maybe talk to your family about it, and explain what is going on. You will all just have to make adjustments to help you feel comfortable. Good luck, and I feel you. Hang in there.
