Worried about not being in control of myself, and just lazy, how can I change th!

Question: Iv asked questions before about not wanting to go out, but today I figured that most of my life (im 16) I was lazy, I didn't want to ever go out, even know I can't think of anything i 'want to do', but I forced myself to anyway. In november I went to a party that was far away from where I live, in a dangerous area.
I spent the day before I went crying and worrying and wishing I wasnt going.
That was in novermber and I havn't been out at night at all since then. In almost 4 months, whilst my friends are out at least once a weekend. This might not sound bad, but it is for me, I can't bring myself to go out at night, because I like to know exactly whats going to happen, or I panic. Please help, this is losing me friends. And please don't just say oh get over it and go out, I cant explain how much I feel I cant. And so far forcing myself out has made me feel worse, talking to my friends hasnt worked either. If you have any ideas about maybe how I can change my mindset? Any help!

This isn't a mindset, it's a phobia and/or anxiety. I'm not sure you can pull yourself out of it. The only thing I can come up with aside from counseling and medication is a healthier diet, exercise, and the right amount (not too much or too little) of sleep. You're imagining worse case scenarios and obsessing over them, so it's possible you have OCD. It's also possible that you're having panic attacks when imagining or being involved in the events that scare you. These things are common, but they need to be taken care of properly.

There is an advice that you can do
1. Make a list of what you worry about
2. Make a list of what you want to do
3. Make a list of what you can do

Answer
1. Something you worry is not negative
but it is positive for your own safety
Let say you worry about going to public
places like shopping mall, and any
other matters you worry about
2. Bring somebody and go there and feel the
situation and environment and then
say it to yourself, there is nothing
to worry about, do this often it is
definitely going to help
3. Do something that you really want
to do rather than thinking you cannot
go out with your friends can do
something else, like you can do
social and voluntary work, you can
make a lot of new friends and
you can learn and experience
other people life and then
you will realised how lucky you are
