Night terrors / Sleep paralysis?!

Question: Is it possible a doctor can help with these problems?
I don't know where to get help, and if there is any help available.

It is at the stage where I'm frightened to go to sleep.

Yes a doctor can help. A strict sleeping schedule and a healthy diet can also help. Too much sleep can cause paralysis and sleep terrors along with nightmares and weird dreams. Happened to me once, the paralysis. I woke up and couldn't move, I was also overcome with this horrible feeling something evil was all around me. Scariest thing I've ever felt.

You need to see a doctor about that. He/she will help you with medication.

Well you might want to see a Hypnotist. Or a Psychiatrist. I don't think taking a sleep aid will help because sleeping is the problem. Any reason for the terrors? Meaning, are you under a lot of stress at the moment? I wish you good luck. I'm sorry you are experiencing these terrors. I would definitely talk to a professional about it. Good luck to you sweetie.

i think they can. you probably should go see a doctor about it. i'm sure there's something they can do. it's a d*mn shame you're afraid to sleep.

just out of curiosity, when you wake up into a sleep paralysis, does it feel like someone is in the room with you, or next to you?

I can't answer, but if you find something, e-mail me.

Oh that used to happen to me all the time. I hear that it happens more if your body is unhealthy or your diet is off. I could be wrong though.

Definately go see a doctor. It's happened to me, so I know how much it sucks.

Yes, a doctor should be able to help. Anxiety pills would probably be the way to go.
This is highly unusual, as night terrors usually only occur in children. I had them when I was young, though, and now I have panic disorder. So yeah, anxiety pills are good. I find Seroquel, though it is a mood stabilizer, to help enormously.

Search google for night terrors, doctors who specialize in sleeping disorders, or cures for night terrors. This situation sounds pretty terrible so maybe a therapist really wouldnt help for this one. You need to see a doctor who can run a cat scan of your brain, or whatever they have to do to find out why you are dreaming such terrible things. I bet this effects you very much because sleep is very important and its the one thing you should be able to do with peace. So ummm please just call your hospital and ask them about who you can get to help you with this. I really hope you get those dreams to stop.
