What to do when you can't be bothered?!


Question: I'm having one of those days when everything seems to be a real chore. What can I do to get myself out of this negative frame of mind? Everything is too much trouble. I'm going to take my dogs for a walk and when I come back maybe I'll have some really inspirational ideas from loads of shiny, happy people.

some days you just need to be not bothered. maybe your body and mind is telling you just to relax. don't feel guilty about not being out and about, that's the only negative thing here, your bad feeling at lazing around. So look at it positively, it's time to do nothing, refresh your body and mind, light a few candles and incense, have a bath, put some relaxing music on, try some meditation, just chill out and know that you are benefiting from it. Don't beat yourself up about it.

I stay here all day BUT those dogs of yours NEED to be exercised so you will have to do that at least once out you will enjoy it

U need 2 exercise ure dogs, then everything that seems to be like a chore, make fun, or you could do what I do, do one chore, break doing something fun, then goin back to another chore ect.
Take it easy and dont rush, you have 24 hrs remember, take away some for sleeping and you have about 12-14 hrs to do it
Take ure time :)

I think most people feel that way sometimes. Sometimes the everyday stresses of life can feel overwhelming. Find a good friend to confide in or seek medical help if this feeling persist longer than a couple of weeks. For now, maybe a good night of rest would benefit you. Hope you are feeling better soon.:)

Maybe you are on overload. It is ok to not want to be bothered or to where you think everything is a real chore. You will probably feel better once you have walked your dogs.

Shiny, happy people scare me cause they seem so unreal.

Some days are just full of blah. Make it a day about you. Curl up with a book, take a long bath, listen to your favorite music. By the end of the day you may not be a shiny happy person but you will be relaxed.

Or, do my tried and true and just crawl back into bed... Sleep makes those blah days go by much quicker.

I think we all get days like that. I certainly do, if your normally very active then suddenly stop your body catches up with itself and you get that feeling of no energy.

The fact that you want to go and take the dogs for a walk shows you have some motivation.

Enjoy the quiet day, put your feet up and watch lots of rubbish on TV and just enjoy the rest that your body prob needs.

If this is common occurence you need to talk to your doctor about it.....

at least 4 days a week i suffer that, i crawl outa bed, downstairs on the couch, and lie there watchin time so i can go t bed, the other days i reach such highs that i may not sleep 4 nights, theres nothing in between, im under cyciatrist and other workers, but they dont seem t now much, keep trying me different meds, i feel drained, and like i just cant b bothered t live. i dont like my mind racing t high levels, and i dont like just lieng around. ive tried many things, nothing seems t get me out of it. try enrolling at ure local gym, do some swimming.
