The point of the interview is for the interviewer to get to know you. It is not to trip you up.

a)The simplest thing is to be who you are. Don't worry so much about trying to impress the person. Don't try to be fake.
b) Take a deep breath; remember to keep breathing
c) When you first get there, go ahead and tell them that you are nervous - they'll see it no matter what and by telling them you'll show self awareness, which should score some points. Most people are nice and they may even try to help you.
d) Answer the questions that they ask
e) Before you go to the interview, write down some key points that you may want to make. Take the note pad with you. This can show that you are prepared.
f) Write down some questions to ask them. I like interviewees who have questions to ask, its shows that you are thinking. Depending on your interests, perhaps ask them about stuff like class size, are there any campus tours, tutoring, school clubs, etc.
g) Do be polite and remember to thank the interviewer.

Best of luck.

dress elegant and let yourself go don't be so nervous and shy....

Confidence!
Try to make yourself feel beautiful on the inside and out. Wear your favorite nicest outfit and rehearse questions/answers that you are sure the interviewer will ask you.
When you are prepared with answers you have less to worry about!

Practice as if you are giving the interview to yourself. Or have someone be the interviewee. Take lots of deep breaths during the actual interview.

Be honest, professional and tell them what you can offer towards their university.

eye contact, firm handsake and good posture, show a sense of humor, show that you're willing to work hard.

oh yeah, after the interview, push in your chair. they'll notice if you don't ;)

One thing that always sits well with me is that the person I am interviewing keeps eye contact with me.. Looking away or down always is a deterrent.

Come up with some good questions beforehand to ask THEM. That takes the focus off you and makes you look really interested and informed. It looks like you've done your research.

Also prepare yourself well--look over sample interview questions, think how you'll answer, research the job and the university, lay out your interview clothes in advance. The better prepared you are, the more confident you'll feel.

I also read the Bible beforehand, particularly the Psalms.

i know how you feel i have social anxiety and its made my life hell.i lost my job..its as if it came outta nowhere....but you just have to try not to think about the interveiw..i know when i had job interveiws after losing my last job i would stress it so much that i would either back out or in some cases came off as weird or whatever because i was so nervous..but jjust try and keep your mind off it,and when you do go just be you,let them know your a little nervous..i do...most of the time people are comforting.im not saying tell them about your anxiety but just be youself and if your nerves flare up just keep your cool and just let them know your nervous....good luck!!

treat it as a chat with a friend, don't fold your arms, it comes across as unapproachable. Eye contact, as hard as it may be is important. Keep telling yourself that they need you more that you need them. Smile

-look profesional.
-wear anit persperant deotorent so you dont sweat
-be calm. dont look nervous
-act mature
-eating? dont spill
-eating again? dont act like a animal and eat sloppy.
- eating still? eat small ammounts, even if your hungry.
-be awake, go to bed early.
-do NOT be late
-have all recourses

thats all i got.

GOOD LUCK!

Do not wear anything revealing. Speak properly, say "yes" instead of "yeah". Articulate when you speak. Make sure you are clean and have fresh breath. If you smoke make sure you don't smell like smoke when you go in (I know it's illegal but I know people who don't hire smokers). Do not bite your lip. Make eye contact and lean forward slightly (I sit on the edge of the chair with my legs crossed) nod often. Shake hands with a big smile when introduced and again when you leave. If it's a position with an important company that will have alot of people applying, or if it's something you really want I would send a follow up letter that day or the next thanking the interviewer for their time and tell them you are still interested in the position. Wait a week after your interview and call the interviewer to see what the status on your application is.
ALSO BE SURE THAT YOU GET THERE 15 MINUTES BEFORE YOU'RE SCHEDULED TIME! (past jobs even for a hotel front desk would not hire unless you were 15 minutes early for the interview)
JUST RELAX!! What's the worst that will happen? If it's meant to be, it will be! I'm sure you will find something else!

Hey!!
actually.. i didn't experience this feeling yet !! lol..
but.. according to my information.. try to use drug called "Atenolol".. it's used in hypertensive patients to avoid increased blood pressure caused by anxiety.. the trade name of this drug is "tenormin"...!!
take it just 2 hours before the interview begins.. hope to have benefit !! Good luck in ur Interview...
