I was a straight A student and was always told good grades would take me places. Now all of my friends who goofed off and made horrible grades (but have outgoing personalities) are well on their way to happy lives. Don't let it stress you out, because I wasted years being stressed out over every single point, and am now a failure. It's not the grades, it's how you handle what's thrown at you. Do your best to not let it happen again, and then put it aside. I wish I had known what life was really about, then I might have spent that time making good friends and living life. Your grades honestly don't matter much until you start high school, which is when your GPA will start being recorded for colleges.

ask your tutors, thats why they are there.

1) breathe.
2) somethimes the term "perfect attendance" doesnt just mean that you went to school. its always a really great idea to go to class, bacause then you won't miss anything.
3) talk to your teachers. they are there to help you. i know, you think they hate you, right?
if you've always gotten good grades, and now theyre sinking, don't think your teachers haven't noticed. Maybe theyre just waiting for you to go to them for help. The only stupid question is the one that is never asked.
4) bite the bullet! ask everyone for help!!! sometimes we straight A students have a hard time saying that something is "too much", or that we're having a hard time.
the best thing you can do to help yourself in this situation is to ask for help.
Don't be afraid of your parents either. maybe they seem really tough on you (nazi-strict? i had them too), but they want you to do well in school, and maybe you need to tell them that you need help.

Maybe you can get extra help after school.
Ask the teachers of the classes that you need help in.
You could also have a friend that understands the material help you with those subjects.
Good Luck

just try your hardest and things will work out. So what if you end up with a few Cs - your other qualities can make up for lower than you'd like grades. It's understandable - 7th grade is harder than 6th, it's a big jump. Also, just be happy you're only in 7th grade and that this stuff doesnt count for college - you've got time to improve and reorganize and believe me that helps! good luck

OK, first calm down.
My son is in 7th grade and going through the exact samething. Including always having all A's and B's.
First things first grading.. if you have 3 graded assingments, one 90, one 80 and a Zero, add them together and divide them by 3 and your average is 56%. Understand?
OK, next you need to be honest with yourself which was the one thing my son did not want to do. It is not that you are not capable all of a sudden. Its because you are not making it as big of a priority as you used to.
You need to focus, get back on track, be honest with your mom, try harder and prover to her you can get the grades up.
If you get grounded for this, take it after all you did it. Its time to grow up.

Ok so if I am totally wrong, which I dont think I am and you have developed a spontanious learning disability (its just puberty) or are unable to comprehend then ask for a tutor.

First, how are you quiz and test grades. Second, this may sound crazy but, make less time for yourself and stay post, or Pre-seccion if your school does that. And for your third and last resort. I can't believe im saying this but... CHEAT!!!!
i am extremely lazy but also extremely smart. Im failing in the 50's and 60's. and now that im trying i've really improved my grade. also recommend a study partner. but don't stress yourself too much.
