What is my personality disorder?!

Question: I have problems and need to research my personality disorder, only I don't kno what it's called.

Here are my symptoms
I crave to be loved.
I'm obsessed with pleasing people even if it means doing something unpleasant.
I am extremely paranoid and insecure
I feel inferior to EVERYONE
I get jealous
I am filled with negative thoughts.

Can anyone tell me what type I fit into?

Paranoia and basic insecurity, with a touch of some kind of inferiority complex and youve probably fallen into a habit of not actually controlling your thoughts. Hence all the negative thoughts. if you dont control your thoughts they will control you.

Sounds like Dependent Personality Disorder for the most part; everything but the jealousy and negative thoughts would fit that description.

Please don't think that's the same as being diagnosed by a psychiatrist. I have used the DSM-IV (resource book of mental disorders) at work nearly everyday since 1995 and I almost have it memorized, but I have no real authority to diagnose.

bored depressed possibly a spoiled child wants her own way maybe shy you need counseling

Sounds weird do you smoke pot? Or maybe you are on meth!

But I would go to the Doctor for that or rehab if needed

OCD?

I really think this sounds like Borderline Personality Disorder. Look up some info about it and see what you think, but then it's important to talk to a professional for a real diagnosis if you're concerned.

Don't worry about which category you fit into. You sound as though you need to talk with a doctor.

I know some one that i am rely close to and he had an even more messed up life i can guarantee it and he had to go through a lot of therapy and classes to get better and he is a great guy and one of the nicest people ever. So if i were you i would go to a therapist doctors. And one last think KICK YOUR PARENTS OUT. just because your always going to remember what happened and it could trigger things that is messing you up. Good luck and hope you figure this out before you mess your kids up.

There are several types of personality d/o, and many diagnosed do not only have one type, but a mix of several

Histrionic: Self-centered, easily upset if ignored & impulsive, overly dramatic

Dependent: timid, agreee for sake of avoiding conflict

Paranoid: thoughts that people are malicious & behavior is based on mistaken assumption about others

Borderline: unstable moods & relationships, poor self-image, self-harm

Narcissistic: think highly of themselves, controlling, self-importance

These are just generalizations of a few ....

you fit into a category of someone who needs professional help. see a psychiatrist. this is a sign of an impending worse condition. there are many reasons why someone needs to be loved, and pleasing yourself first is a good way to start, i don't mean to become selfish and have no sympathy an empathy for others. i mean discover your self and evaluate how precious you are in this world. when you realize that you are a big part of peoples life, you Will begin go relax, and therefore become a more caring person, and people will see the change and stop making you feel insecure. if there are still people who continue to treat you in such a way, as to make you paranoid and insecure, you really need them in your life. you are a person of value, always remember that. give freely of your special qualities, and you will find that you complete the circle of true friends. negative thoughts do no any one any good. it just depresses the person. think about how people respond to you when you are doing simple things to please them, like making someones special desert, or have a surprise of having a movie that people have wanted to see but don't have time. try to get it and have it ready, to enter-tin them. please, above all be yourself. peo;le notice when someone is faking it. it makes them uncomfortable. good luck

I don't think it's anything as complicated as other people have said. It's just plain ol' low self-esteem/insecure. Trust me, I use to suffer from it and I would have all those symptoms.
