Need help concentrating!!?!

Question: I am so frustrated with myself lately. I'm supposed to be writing my novel, but I end up farting around on Yahoo Answers instead. I was supposed to do some important research, but I ended up looking up my favorite actor on the internet instead.

I feel like I can't concentrate on ANYTHING lately!! Please!!! What should I do?

There are addictions galore out there. I'm not saying you have one, but I know those who do and don't admit it.

It happens to all age groups who are hooked up to a computer at home with procrastination setting in and many times when they feel lonely or life isn't going too well. It's a way to put off something they don't want to do and should be done with rewarding oneself with the computer later after accomplishing something first. I did this myself tonight as I wasn't feling too well physically after I ate. I was to do job ads for someone. Now it's after 4:30 AM, and nothing got done on it and another project pushed aside as well.

I'm not going to punish myself. I'll go to bed as tomorrow's another day. I'll get to those items and work a little bit at a time until I'm finished. Then I'll take a small computer reward break.

People lose themselves on the internet or a favorite place they enjoy going to. All of my family at times are on their computers all doing their own thing and not talking as we usually do. Or we talk about our day, eat a meal, and spend the evening on the stupid computer!

The only problem comes is when it does become an addiction. I can foresee mental health practitioners coming up with this new (if they haven't already) diagnosis number when the new mental health diagnostic manual comes out next with its code.

Do you feel like you really do have a concentration problem, or are you avoiding something or someone? You seem to be concentrating on this okay. A person in depression has a concentration problem where things like a newspaper seem like one big blurb. Those who are bi-polar can go from one thing to another and not finish things.

Where do you find yourself as to what I asked all through this
posting?

I wish you the best.
