Bipolar disorder affects all relationships that a person has.

Well yeah, if they're bipolar it will probably affect their relationship in some way. I don't really know how, because everybody is different. And I feel very sorry for the loss of her mother.

I would like to say no but bipolar effects every relationship that a bipolar person has. Frankly bipolar people have swings of depression and mania so get used to it this is who she is and who she always will be love her for it. embrace it C:

the loss of her mother is the source of her behavior, NOT bi-polar.

if shes on her meds she should be o-Kay, and she just lost her mom ,,, anyone would be depressed , give her some time, and support her ,,and no its not the bi-polar that your not talking much , shes missing her mom ,,,,,

Bi-polar disorder affects every aspect of not only the affected persons life but also the lives of everyone around them. Your relationship will always be affected by your girlfriend's illness. I hope she is seeing a Dr. regularly and faithfully taking her medication. If she is truly bi-polar she needs to be on medication.
