Question: Of course. And they actually give quite a bit of latitude for what is "normal" as long as the person is (1) not harming another and (2) is able to function relatively easily in society.

Everybody has quirks and eccentricities. Some just keep them in the closet better than others. Its only when it affects their ability to function that it becomes a psychological issue.

At least that is my stance as a layman and a certified loony that has been able to reach the elusive state of "normality" by taking meds daily...
