What are you do when you feel lonely and bored?!

Try to channel your boredom and loneliness into a creative force... have you ever tried drawing, painting, writing, working with clay? It's fun to gain new skills and doing something creative allows you to express any feelings you have in a healthy way. Who knows, you may find that you have a knack for a certain craft! Even if you don't feel talented, you don't have to create art for anyone but yourself and over time your talents will develop and take shape.

Another way to be creative is to take up a hobby of plant care or getting a pet to nurture.

Try developing some kind of hobby to not only take up time but also to let you grow and explore your mind, spirit, and personality to its fullest!

When I was coming out of a rough period of my life, I started doing art projects... I never saw myself as very artistic, but over time I've learned how to knit, sew, sculpt, whittle, build mosaics, create collages, grow my own tea plants and herb garden, and lots of other things that have now enriched my life with joy. One of the greatest feelings in the world is to look upon your own personal creation.

Oh, and I agree with going for a walk, too. Enjoying nature is a great way to feel a peace and walking is not only good for you, but the exercise will stimulate your brain to release endorphins that (to make a long explanation short) make you feel happier.

Reading is also another brilliant idea... when things get stressful in the real world, it's great to be able to fall into another place and time for a little while.

I find a good book and read it, or do yahoo answers.

I think the question is why are you lonely & bored? Maybe its because:

a) You're used to getting attention without needing to put any effort in. A book or therapist can help.

b) You're not intellectually stimulated. Look for something hards to do, that will give you something to be proud of at the end. Maybe a good youtube video, art work, write a book etc.

c) Join a special interest group in your local area (sport, politics, religion, sexuality, hobby, philosophy). Alot of people find new friends through these groups. Whilst online communities are ok, they are not as good as a real-life local group.

d) Watch and listen to less news, it really can get you down.
