Do you ever feel you have NOTHING in common with ANYONE?!

Question: seriously? please someone say yes lol.
Like I have always thought I was different, but recently I've met people who *theoreticaly* are supposed to be more like me, but really they are nothing at all like me.
Sorry if this makes no sense, but can anyone relate with feeling like an outsider?

Glorious, I have been mocked on this site for saying we are all unique and special in our own way. I find it difficult to believe you have NOTHING in common with anyone. Surely you have things in common with some of the actors in the plays you are in. (You are in plays, right?) You are a musician. You have the love of music in common with band members. What about your family members? You have a common bond with the concern over you grandmother that is ill.

To answer your question. Yes, I feel I am a tad different myself. Many, many times I have felt like an outsider.

If you find one person in life you consider a true friend you are blessed. Work on this. You have to seek them out, they won't simply pop out of the sky!

I am going to tell you what my husband tells me, "Stop putting yourself down, you are a great person."

Celebrate your own talented, bad self! :) ((Glorious))

yes i have nothing in common with ne one. as for those people who r like u they obviously r nothing like u cause if they were they wouldnt say they were. Follow?

yes. and I am okay with it.

I don't need my friends to be same as me either, because we can still share things and talk with eachother. We got the punk, the nerd, the goth, the normal, etc.
Our group is assorted. ;D

To say you have NOTHING in common is an outright lie, you're human aren't you.

Yeah, I have at some point in time. But when you meet new people, sometimes yous just click and their on the same wavelength as you.

Try and build up your self essteam.

Yes,yes oh yes. And it's crap, and no one understands.

I do understand what you are saying, I think that other people are unique, we are all different from one another.

What I believe is that there are many parts to our internal puzzle and our friends and acquaintances fill or touch one of those parts that make us up, they touch a part of ourselves, our inner being.
I do not feel as an outsider for this reason, the people in my life are integral parts of me and this is perhaps the purpose and real motive of why they are in my life.

Sure, I feel that way all the time. It doesn't bother me, because the majority of humanity's greatest accomplishments have been achieved, not by group efforts, but by individuals who didn't have much in common with anyone else.

If you haven't already, try taking a Myers-Briggs or Kersey personality test. You might find that you are typical of a small group of people that share your personality type.

Yeah, that happens. I only have one friend at school, but she's a really good friend when she's in a good mood. But other than that, yeah I'm the weird one who doesn't like other people. So you're not the only one who feels that way.

well actually,
Im in the middle of trying to find that one book that will explain my life to me. No lie, Im an only child, female, 1st gen immigrant and my parents are pentecostal. I really wish I could find someone to explain to me "what happened" and how I ended up in my predicatment. One day I think I'll write a book.
oh well, I guess im just stuck having to accept where Im at and the bits and pieces of information I get from reading books and talking to others.

Anyone who knows me both on and off-line will tell you that I am a unique bird...I don't intentionally go against the flow, but neither do I abandon who I have come to be,in order to fit in...So far,I have been fortuneate and am accepted by a few....if this changes one day...then I will go it alone...

((((Jan P.)))))

Yes. God makes us all unique....WE are designed to be different. Guaranteed some of us are more different than others. I can relate.....At times I feel like only God truly understands me. ((((Bobby))))

i think you just want to be different from everyone else, so you look for reasons why you are not the same.
