get involved in a support group and get out and socialize. cut down on your stress and eat a well balanced diet with mostly fruit and vegetables, also eat lean meats and cut down on the carbohydrates. carbohydrates lead to high blood sugar which in turn will run your body down and give you aches, and will also make you tired with less energy all the time. as long as your properly medicated and not over-medicated then you should be fine. push yourself to go out a bit, even if it's a walk around the block or to the store. don't let your illness get you down. 1 in 5 have a psychological disorder. your not alone. just take care of yourself.

ECT is a great therapy. People are generally fearful of it because it was inhumanely done in the past, however today it's been very successful in treating people who may not respond to other therapies. Under sedation they will stimulate a seizure which basically restarts your brain. The side effect is a headache immediately following the procedure. I have seen remarkable results in chronically depressed patients, patients with bipolar, and seasonal affective disorder. Good luck and hang in there.

Bodytalk did amazing things for my husband, who suffers from PTSD.
