Everyone requires different medications, even for the same disorder. Usually in the mental health system, they try different ones until they find one that works. I have had bad side effects from some medications for bipolar disorder but I reported them to my doctor and we worked together until he found the right meds for me. I wouldn't be alive without them.

Engrish pweez.

Meds are good when properly used and prescribed. Sounds like your obsessing over a small matter, wonder why that is?

Regular people can't diagnose you, only a doctor can. Medicines have helped many people feel better and live a normal life. If YOU think that something is interfering with your ability to function, then see a doctor.

Its a big question that could take an hour to answer in detail.
But basically everyone is different and it takes time to find the right medication and balance of medication to suit the person.

I've known people that have been on the wrong medication all their lives but no one has bothered to help them recognise the symptoms of it.
People with these problems often don't know they act the way they do until something really bad happens.

Some of these people could not live any form of normal life without medication and others just need to control their attitude with training.

the reason some people don't get well on their meds is either because their shrink mis-diagnosed them, or did not understand the severity of their symptoms or the patient did not go back to the shrink to work on fine tuning and trying different meds until they calibrate what is best for them. it's a major trial and error process but when done properly can greatly help the sufferer. the shrink can never do it all. the patient has to work closely with their shrink to get well.

Sounds to me like you are in denial. Maybe you should talk to a doctor. There are other ways of treating a disorder besides meds, you could work out a treatment plan with a doctor, without meds if you prefer.

I have been fighting depression for a long time and I also have a seizure disorder.Until I found the right doctor I was on alot of meds that didi not work.So the key is to find the right doctor who will take his time and not just give you stuff for the sake of just getting you out of his office. So they do work.If you have the right combination,.

I would be dead if it wasn't for my meds. But the first med they tried made me suicidal. So it is a process.

If you don't feel you are having problems with OCD symptoms, then there is no reason to see a doctor about it. But if you have a high level of anxiety, counseling may help.
