Why am I daydreaming this?!

Question: Lately I have been daydreaming about hurting myself. I am sitting at my desk and suddenly imagine myself stabbing my eye with a pen or attempting to swallow my cell phone so that I choke on it. Whats wrong with me!?

Do you have problems with depression, or are you suicidal? Or maybe your subconscious is trying to tell you something. Maybe you need an outlet for your emotions. Are you under a lot of stress? Is there something you're afraid is going to happen or something you're dreading? Find someone you trust to talk to. Any of these outlets, or a combination, might help.
-positive self talk
-deep breathing
-total muscle relaxation from head to toe (requires concentration)
-gabfest with a friend
-prayer/meditation
-massage
-work on a project you've been putting off
-build a model
-jog
-cardio/weight training
-walk to clear your mind or sort your thoughts
-counseling
-creative outlets: dancing, art, playing a music instrument, singing, journaling, photography, daydreaming, talking to yourself (go somewhere quiet where no one will bother you)
-do something kind for someone else
-nap

Sounds like compulsive thoughts. I've had crazy thoughts like that too...not that I would ever act on them. Do you have anxiety?

first dont blame yourself, check your medications (if you have any) to see if any of the side affects are thoughts of suicide, and second i would see my doctor, and you could just need to talk to someone about something you've been bottling up.

To me it sounds like you have untreated depression. Please talk to someone about these feelings that understands these situations.

daydreams are pretty harmless, unless you intend to follow through of course, i wouldn't worry too much.

Your dwelling on too many fears. You need to distract yourself from condeming thoughts and tell yourself you are not responcible for everything that goes wrong or how people act. You work on how you react to the world around you and try to bring something good into the lives of others, even if it's just a smile and you will begin to feel contentment at the positive contribution, like water on a flower. Good luck!

O-kay this is gonna sound weird but it is pretty normal to think about bizarre crap. Sounds like you imagination is getting the best of you.Sometimes when things are going good in ones life we have a tendency of self sabatoge. Use your imagination to write -
