Last night i heard voices?!

Question: i'd not had much sleep over the whole weekend, about 6 hours at the most over two nights, and i was really really tired, and as i was going to sleep i could hear my friends' voices in my head, and random songs that i had heard recently, and i got worried in case it was schitzophrenia, even though i knew that they weren't real, is this normal?

I think you were just really tired, and had been on the go for a long time, your body was trying to relax but your brain was not, so you went over the events of the last couple days. That happens to me some times when I am having trouble with my insomnia. If this continues, just go see a docor. Scitzophrenia doesn't come over you in one night, atleast I wouldn't think so.

no hallucinations because of no sleep. see how important sleep is?

say it with me: Y_E_S

it is normal.
just get some sleep and eat a nutritious meal

You were probably just dozing off to sleep and going through that weird period before you fall asleep.

Lack of sleep can do that to you. You should only be worried if you start hearing the voice again, and/or more often. In that case, go see your doctor.

i went through the hallucinations of lack of sleep... i was awake for 48 hrs straight, and followed my brother around my house talking to him like he was there... i was alone in my house... if anyone was around at that point they prolly would have thought i was crazy... get some sleep, if your not sleeping because this is causing you stress you need to think of how stressed your going to be from not getting sleep... get a sleep aid from your local pharmacy if need be and see if the hallucinations go away... otherwise... head to the local shrink n seek professional help

If you mean you didn't really HEAR it physically, but imagined it spontaneously, then this happens to me all the time. Random bits of sentences in the voices of people i know, while I am trying to fall asleep. I think it is normal.

dont worry.

This is the fact, if you don't get good enough sleep per night, it will come after you, trying to catch you and slow you down, so that you feel compelled to crawl in bed. If you refuse to sleep, you can experience what is called "Micro sleeps," which means minature naps....and you may not be aware of these micro sleeps or that sleep is catching you. In fact you can dream during a micro sleep and because you don't realize that you are asleep, you feel that you have heard voices or had an hallucination in your mind, that you experienced an episode of insanity.
