Anyone taking dosulepin?!
Question: I was prescribed fluoxetine (prozac) 4 weeks ago for depression, even though ive had no problems with it my doctor says he's taking me off it as i also have a major sleeping problem and apparently this dosulepin is supposed to be good for sleep too. Any experiences?

I have been taking 75mg Dosulepin for over two years now, the sedatory effects of Dosulepin are well documented but it is not a sleep that leaves you zonked as if you are a zombie in the morning.
Dosulepin has worked better for me than Prozac ever did, but it is not a quick fix, it takes between 4 and 6 weeks before any advantageous effects will kick in.
I have been lucky and have had no side effects except an occasional dry mouths for short times.
It has worked for me, hope it works for you, bear with it for a while, you may be pleased you did.
