usually teen onset depression gets better with age rather than worse - like most neurological, emotional and psychological conditions depression seems to be exacerbated by crazy hormones and the unique social situation that is being a teenager. Take heart, this is not a life sentence, just part of your journey....

Well, since you are 17 and just diagnosed, at least you have somewhere to begin. Bulimia and depression usually go together. Look up questionaires on it and think about speaking to someone that knows what they are talking about.

You have a diagnosis now...follow your treatment plan and stay close with your doctor.

You can come out of this now, it's just going to be hard work.

Hopefully this assessment will be the first step to you getting some help for these 2 serious issues.

Don't let them tell you that it's worse than it is. If you didn't think it was that bad, being told you have severe depression is ridiculous.

it sucks i know. I'm bulimic too and have some depression problems. People say talk to someone too but that just makes it worse. it means i have to think about it and linger on it and analyze it and realize how bad it really is.

find something. anything that makes you happy that can keep your mind off of it.

hold on <3

Things will most likely get better.
