What would u think about the way she's handling this?!

Question: One of your friends is a fairly shy, quiet person, but really sweet. She's also severely asthmatic and was taken to the hospital a few weeks ago. You talk to her today and ask her how she's feeling. She quietly responds and says that she's ok but it acted up again this weekend. Apparently yesterday was pretty bad for her but she doesn't go into detail about it. Then she paused, lowered her head and got really soft-spoken as she added, "but other than yesterday, I've been good."

What would u think about the way she's handling this? Would u see it as positive or negative?

I'm really shy and quiet, and I don't want to put myself on someone else, but I would say that maybe she just doesn't want to complain. She may just be kind of ashamed or embarrased, about making a big deal of something or putting herself "out there" so to speak. I don't know that her response is a negative sign about how she's handling it. Just because someone isn't open with someone else about something, doesn't mean that they are not handling something well, it just means that they are not very good at expressing how they are handling it, if you know what I mean.

I would say she is handling it as positively as she is possibly capable of handling it. Better than lots of complaining or being really really depressed.

i think you should talk to her about this , make sure shes telling you all the truth and shes taking her medication!

Well I would say make sure she is okay and everything. Make sure she is telling the truth too... she may not want to worry you or anything. That's what I would say.
