Do you ever get the feeling?!

Question: like you're going to lose control of yourself and do something stupid?

Answers: like you're going to lose control of yourself and do something stupid?

i think everyone gets that feeling at one time or another, i know i feel that way at least a few times a day

Yes ... i have that feelin all time ... and what mainly sucks is that i cant stop it after it happens ... im not able to that ... and not only do i hurt myself i hurt other people in the process ... and i never noticed that before ...

YES!!!!!

All the time.

Sometimes I'm driving and are will have a huge urge to want to ram the car in front of me. I know that sounds horrible. Sometimes I will be driving over a bridge and will fantasize about driving off the bridge. I don't want to kill myself, that isn't it at all but I get urges to want to do impulsive dangerous things.

Sometimes they are not dangerous they are just weird. Like one day I was in line at the mall buying an outfit. There was a guy in front of me. I had a huge urge to bite his neck and grab his ***. I didn't but it took everything I had to look away.

When I say urge I mean, my heart is beating, I feel warm and I feel like I'm fighting someone inside me to not do it.

Does this make sense?

Yes...surprisingly often!

yes , it is natural , remember you are in control , and able to control how you react when this happens , dont just let nature take it's course , you control you , and keep your hands on the reigns when you feel you are out of control , or the consequences you feel you didnt have control over will haunt you , with the wonder of whether you would of been able to control yourself at any said point!

I'm sorry, I don't know what you mean. If you don't have control, who or what does? Someone has to be responsible for your actions and usually it's you. I'm not trying to be obtuse, I really don't understand how you can lose control of your actions.
It's not that I don't believe it's possible, but from my point of view, it's induced by a foreign substance.

I get that feeling a lot, especially when I am bored. I think its OCD because I know the thought is completely illogical. When I am preoccupied with school or work or doing something socially, the thought is almost non-existent. However, for the past 7 months, my schedule has changed to allow me to have more free time; many OCD symptoms re-appear, one being fear of losing control. I am seeing a psychologist about this and social anxiety/isolation issues, so I hope they help.

I seem to feel that way around strangers. I will feel like swearing at them for a certain reason.
"Get the bleep out of the way."
"Shut the bleep up." "You are talking so loud."
"Who the bleep wants to hear your conversation on your cell phone."
"Open your bleeping eyes and look where you're going."
These are only a few examples.
If we said everything we thought we would be in BIG trouble.

Yes, its all part of having anxiety. When the adrenalin kicks in your mind being rational, tries to rationalize the physical feeling and comes up with all sorts of goofy stuff. Just remember you are not your thoughts. And you are not going to lose control. The people that truley lose control, dont even know they are doing it. So the fact that you realize these are irrational thoughts only enforces that fact that you are rational.
Just say to your self it was just a thought and push it out of your mind. Or even make a joke about it, sometimes humor helps.
