in numerous studies, caffeine has been shown to provoke panic attacks in people with panic disorder. In addition, it may increase anxiety and cause insomnia. These two conditions cause many of us with panic disorder to be more susceptible to panic attacks.

While the effects of caffeine seem to vary widely from individual to individual, anxiety disorder specialists often recommend that people with panic disorder eliminate all caffeine consumption. Obviously, this is no easy task for those who consume caffeinated products on a daily basis. Complete elimination may cause withdrawal symptoms (such as headache and fatigue) which will usually last for a couple of weeks.

I would say yes it is.

caffeine will cause panic attacks it would be a good idea to cut out as much as possible too much caffeine will make you shake sweat feel uncomfortable and even nauseated

It will have an affect.. I had a cafe mocha with espresso today... and man my body isn't use to the caffeine It caused my heart to beat faster and I had the jitters...When your all wired your not yourself, and you may not think as clear... plus its hard to have a steady hand

Standard cautions often are along the lines of: Too much caffeine may cause nervousness, irritability, sleeplessness, and, occasionally, rapid heart beat. There is a huge difference between caffeine and a can of soda which contains caffeine which can contain many other ingredients also, not just caffeine. A cup of coffee has over 500 ingredients in the cup of coffee only one of which is caffeine. Coffees and teas have been used around the world by humankind for hundreds of years. Good luck.
