Cried my eyes out, anyone ever feel this way?!

Question: I was at school today, and everything was normal we have been having evaluations like pretty much 2 a day at school for the last two weeks or so. Today at school was going to be a 12 hour day and so will tomorrow be as well. I've just been juggling a lot home/ school...

After a evaluation today... that seemed to go not as I wanted at all, which was the first annoyance.. on top of being in a all girl school, the girl I was working on for my evaluation drove me nuts..

So after I was finished everyone was moving so fast cleaning up...I started feeling dizzy have a head ach... and then just felt gross and started to feel like I could cry.. just cause things are so crazy..

I went home early and left school... but I know the teacher is probably going to bark at me tomorrow... but I just felt like crying..

Ever feel this way?

Oh yes, I have felt this way on many occasions. Being a teen and a woman as well, makes for an emotional roller coaster ride. You are very sensitive, and under a lot of pressure at the moment, but you will recover and move on. Having a good cry will help. Do you have high standards for yourself? If so,this could be contributing to your anxiety. As a teacher I can tell you that evaluations are overrated. If you are self-motivated and interested in learning, you have nothing to worry about in life's big picture. Don't worry about what other people think. Identify what you love and believe in, and follow it! This will lead you to self-fulfillment and success. Like many others, you are a high school student overloaded with responsibilities. Do the very best you can and feel good about that. Eliminate some responsibilities if possible (such as working). Don't beat yourself up ( just resolved to do better), and stand up to your teacher (respectfully) if she "barks" at you. She doesn't know your inner world or what you are experiencing at home. Assimilate feedback from teachers as best you can. As long as you're making significant progress you'll be okay. Don't take anything personally. Everyone is human, including teachers. Take this whole testing/evaluation thing with a grain of salt -- right now the emphasis on tests is out of control. Do your absolute best and follow what is in your heart, and you can't go wrong.

yes , seriously go for a run it will clear your head

YEA

Yeah... I think most people feel that way sometimes. I hope you felt better after you had a good cry...

ya, it's happened to me before. it feels like ur just bout to burst. its good to have a good cry now and then. not often, but just to let things out

yea, when there is SOOOO much going on at one time. sometimes you feel overwhelmed with activity. nxt time just slow down. it could also be harmones (u know-its almost that time of the month) it could have been adrinilin too

oh hun you have no idea...
i think that every high school girl has been in your position. in between stress, hormones, and everything else we go through...you are entitled to cry whenever you get good and ready!
i found myself crying myself to sleep the other night, and i cant even tell you why i was so upset......high school can be hard for all teens, especially girls and i think stress catches up with us.
dont worry about your teacher or anything, i think everyone can relate.
hope you feel better!

Oh yes, a couple of Sunday's ago, I had a melt down. Some lady said something to me that just hurt my feelings. I started crying and could not stop. I felt so stupid. I left church and went home early, because I didn't want to disturb the preaching.
I hadn't cried like that in a very long time. I mean, I cry a little at a sad movie, but I don't meld down like that. It was not like me at all. I guess all the other stuff...stress just go to me.

Yes, and I'm in my 30's now. Life can be so stressfull especially at your age. Juggleing home and school can be very trying.

Pour yourself a nice warm bubble bath and have some "you" time.

Take comfort in knowing everyone feels this way time to time......

Luckily time keeps ticking, and everyday is a new day.
Take Care :)
