Ever feel alone?!

Question: I feel so alone. Even when my friends are around. Does that happen to anyone. Or am I insane?

Answers: I feel so alone. Even when my friends are around. Does that happen to anyone. Or am I insane?

It is not at all likely you are insane. It sounds as if you may be depressed or just having down moods. Do these moods last for days, weeks, or months? If that is true you probably have depression. The treatment for that is anti depressants and "talk" therapy. If you just have that alone in a crowd feeling for an evening or a day every once and a while it is probably "normal" downer moods. Someone mentioned a chemical en balance, that could be true also. Your family doctor is the place to start finding out what is going on. If you are having thoughts of suicide too, tell someone tonight or in the morning!! If you kill yourself you may be alone for eternity. Some folks think that is true. Why chance it. Get help! Get better!

You could be insane..., or you could be depressed, or you may have a hormonal imbalance. It sounds terrible. But maybe you should talk to a therapist or somethng...

Yes it happens to me...
All the time.
I guess for me it's because even when I'm with my friends....They still don't understand me and what I feel. So I feel alone. You know?

sounds hormonic!

hell i feel alone at church

It's an awful feeling that I think most experience at some point. It isn't a problem until you find yourself feeling that way all the time.

Keep a journal and write about your feelings. You may find that the "lonely" feeling only comes at certain times and that you have many happy times that pale when the lonely time comes back.

Sometimes, the solution is as simple as keeping busy. If, however, you find the lonely feelings really are frequent, finding help from a parent, teacher, counselor, doctor, or clergyman might be your first course of action.

I could be around alot of people and i feel very alone inside. Like i'm a million miles away. My big black cloud never seems to go away- even on very good days. You should see someone before it turns into years like mine did. It seems to have a snowball effect if left alone.
