How can I stay motivated to excersise?!

Question: Im 16 years old and weight 257 pounds. I was 261 pounds a week and a half ago. I stopped eating junk food and overeating. I drink tons of water! But my motivation seems to be dying. I had to push myself to walk 95 minutes today. I walk 30 minutes when I get up, 30 minutes a few hours later, and then 20-30 minutes before it gets dark. I think ive lost weight. But I keep thinking its water weight. Because ive been constipated, and I have to drink prune juice. But I dont think constipation can put on a 5 pound weight gain? I drink prune juice every other day. It seems to help. In the morning I was 256, and one ounce, almost 255. Did I lose weight? Or is it water weight from using prune juice? Im scared if I stop drinking prunce juice, and get constipated, the scale will add on 7 pounds or something, then I get upset!

Im getting a treadmill next week so maybe that will help my confidence!

Your mirror should provide all the motivation you need.

You're not going to see results right away from walking. If possible, stop weighing yourself every day. You're not going to see much of a change. Weigh yourself every week instead and keep a written chart of your progress.

Also, tone yourself up with weights. Your body will continue to burn calories after your weight sessions as it repairs your muscles. It's a good way to lose .... combine weights with walking and you'll go down over time.

you need a goal. find a picture of someone and think i want to be that weight. my mum kind of has done the oposite, she lost weight and found a picture of when she was bigger and has stuck it on the fridge so each time she goes to it she sees that she doesnt want to be like that again. do the same thing just the other way around. I find the gym much better than being at home because I go and check out all the fit girls as i work out and pretend they might fancy me if i work really hard and show off a little. haha u need to find your own mo-jo. different things work for different people.

Do you have a doctor who is monitoring you or a coach to guide you? It can help to have some support people. Are you cutting out fats and calories too? That's important. I'm not sure about prune juice. I bought one of those Alli kits (myalli.com) and the books alone helped me loose 14 lbs. I don't know if it's recommended for people under 18 years old. You can check.

I really hope you stay with your program. You know it will be a hard road to navigate. I bet you can do it. For some reason I have faith in you.

This stuff was on CNN and Fox News yesterday:
