trust me u r not alone. i have been depressed for awhile (more than you) and until now i still depress. a few years ago my family had some issue and i was so sad. i did bad on my grade and that made me felt even worse. sometime i cried at night and didn't talk to anyone because i don't want my parent to worry about me. now i feel even worst than before because some people talked behind my back and calling me name. i know that i need to seek help, but for some reason i'm afraid whether it is trusty and privacy or not. sometime i even think of suicide but then i think of my family. so i told myself that i must live. so now whenever i feel depress i go online and play games or go to yahoo answer/question and answer some questions. hoping that i can help someone when they are in need. if you feel depress you should seeks help. if you don't trust the psychiatrist then try to go online and read some funny or inspiration poems. i know that has helped me a lot. i do wish you the best of luck. may be someone is right when it said that things will be better. but for me, i only see dark clouds ahead of me. so may be the bright clouds is on your side. GOOD LUCK. and remember to be STRONG...NO MATTER WHAT HAPPEN, REMEMBER THAT YOU STILL HAVE YOUR FAMILY ...

maybe it's manitoba. come to toronto...you'll feel lively again.

p.s. suicide isnt the answer to your problems. you'd be wasting your wonderful life. so much things to do...so many places to travel...so many interesting people to meet. just let time pass and you'll see how wonderful life is.

Go see a social worker or psychologist. You can also talk to your primary care doctor. If you feel really down, go to a local Emergency Room. The doctors there can set up a consultation with a crisis worker.

Things will get better. Don't be afraid to seek help. Help is out there.

do not cut yourself because you may die and it might get addicting and consider therapy

I don't have any easy answers. But hang in there! If you have clinical depression, get some help. I was severely depressed for quite a while. I got into counseling and quit drinking and smoking weed. Seriously, I feel much better today.

Life is kinda strange. Sometimes we are on top of the world and other times we are on the bottom of the ocean. I think the trick is to realize that when we are on the bottom, that it is a temporary situation. I promise you good times are coming.

God bless :)

Crack, pot, sex

If you've been depressed for over a year and haven't had treatment before now you're suffering unnecessarily. This length of depression indicates it won't get better on it's own. Seek out a mental health clinic in your town and make an appt. soon. After talking to you about your problem, they can assess what type of therapy is better suited for you. They will also have a Dr. determine if should need medication. Stick with what they prescribe for you. You will be amazed at the new (healthier) you that emerges with hope! Best Wishes!
