Paranoia or?!

Question: What should I do...everytime I go out in public I think I am constantly being watched and so I look up...and then I think people are thinking I'm stealing because I'm looking up...but noone ever is. And I can't go to the mall alone and enjoy myself because I think people are either looking or talking about me and I just want to go home. Even if I just drove an hour to get there. And at night in my house...if I'm coming home late I get my house key out and all my stuff in my hands before ever stepping foot out of my car because I think someone will be waiting for me. And inside my house...I have to turn all the lights on...then the lights on my room...then turn the other lights off really quick then run to my room. As soon as I turn my back out to the open I feel uneasy & like a wave of panic comes over me. Does everyone go through this or do I have some kinda anxiety problem? I have never done drugs/drank & have had no past psychological problems, except depression about 2 years ago.

It sound like you could have pretty severe anxiety. I have had a similar problem and can say that my doctor treated me with lexapro. I tried other anti-depressants and found that they increased the anxiety.Lexapro doesn't do that to me and I have had no negative side effects from it. I only notice that I seem to be able to handle public situations better and I don't get the anxiety attacks. Talk to a doctor for more options and good luck!

Your unexplained paranoia is cause for concern, you should probably talk to doctor about it. You may have a hormonal imbalance that needs to be treated.

Omg I do the same thing. I grab everything before I get out the car, run to unlock the door. I even turn all the lights on and I feel someone is in my house when I get home. I don't know what it is but its annoying. Im kinda getting better now.
