Im i depressed?!


Question: during the day i smile, laugh, giggle, have fun, etc. but night comes and im a whole different person. i wait for everyone to fall asleep and i put my headphones on and cry. for some reason i can only think about the bad things in my life. im not confortable crying in front of my family. why?
i also bottle things in. well my question is if I am depressed, what can i do to get un-depressed.?

YES. You need to nip it in the bud right now or it will only get worse. The believe is "crying shows weakness" and you don't want your family to think less of you or worry about you. What ever "bad thing" you start thinking about when you go to bed leads you to thinking of the other bad things. If something is worrying you then you need to do something about it and make it better for you. Go for a walk EVERYDAY for ?hr and it will help you feel better also (eat lots of dark chocolates). Consentrate on the music (or put a confidence building disc in) Because everthing seems better in the morning. Don't eat for one hour before bed. If you have to think about things think about all the good things in your life and all the things that you feel grateful for :~)

It's always health to seek out a good way to let it all out, try talking with people or doing de-stressful stuff that would give you a more positive outlook on life

I think eventually you could become depressed if you don't regularly communicate with ppl. When you talk abt problems you'll worry less and ppl can help you see the good in things. I know from experience. Good luck!

You need to talk to someone. Is there one mature adult you can talk to about these feelings your having? If so, talk to that person. Don't wait...do it now. Good luck.

when a door of happiness is closed, another opens, but as we continue to look at the closed door we do not attached importance to that which we open... move on... start new lyf... past is past forget it. try to think all the bautiful things that happen to you intead of the bad things..

No you are not depressed! Stop thinking about this otherwise you eventually will get depressed. Just be cool and tell somebody about this, confess... It should help you. There's a whole life in front of you, and you wouldn't want to watch it, yo got to dive right in to it and live it!!!

Depression is a multifaceted illness. Generally, we dont notice it until something big happens: we lose a gf/bf, our parents divorce, we have a major falling out with a friend, etc... So, there is no one thing that is causing your depression.
The best place to start is with counseling. Either at school or with someone your doctor suggests. That is a good place to start as it will help to talk things out.

there's not really an answer for you to get un-depressed. but don't be afaid to get help.
