Okay sweetie, it depends, how much salt water did you take? Just try cleansing yourself with more water, don't try and make yourself sick, it can get you onto a bad path, both physically and mentally. I suffer from bulimia right now, so I don't suggest you try and make yourself sick. Just drink plenty of water, and you should be peeing the salt out (LOL)! :)

What you need is a therapist....and soon, as you're waging a war against your body, which your body will eventually lose.

EDIT: Sweetie, I am in no way trying to put you down. As a recovering anorexic myself, I know EXACTLY what you're going through. You're hurting your body....plain and simple. But there are people who can help.

Well, it'd help to know how much you actually drank. I'd say as long as you don't feel dehydrated, don't worry about it. If you do, drink REGULAR water.

drink lots of water because the salt can dehydrate you. (But so can not eating) (Have you considered help?)
Also the correct measurement for the salt water flush is 32 ounces of water and 2 tsp on salt.

you need to see a therapist
being anorexic is horrible and really really messes up your body!
did you know someday you might not be able to have kids because you throw up and don't get the right amount of nutrients your body needs to live!

if you want to talk to someone email me..

i'm always here

Health experts recommend that adults should consume less than 6g of salt a day, which is one level spoonful. (most people have more than this)

It can dehydrate you and raise your blood pressure.

It will depend on how much you have had, but drinking plain water should dilute it. I'm no dr, but if you are worried then you could ask a health professional or maybe even phone a pharmacy.

Depriving your body of nutrients it needs to survive will do the ultimate harm to you though, moreso than too much salt.

Wishing you well

I would phone NHS direct or a hospital and tell them how many spoonfuls of salt you've consumed - they may tell you that you'll be fine, or they may suggest something else You might become very ill. In the meantime, sip normal water.
Good luck.

Well i am going to help as best as i can as i am that type of person! Salt aka Sodium is one of the primary electrolytes in the body. All four cationic electrolytes (sodium, potassium, magnesium, and calcium) are available in unrefined salt, as are other vital minerals needed for optimal bodily function. Too much or too little salt in the diet can lead to muscle cramps, dizziness, or even an electrolyte disturbance, which can cause severe, even fatal, neurological problems. Drinking too much water, with insufficient salt intake, puts a person at risk of water intoxication (hyponatremia). Salt is even sometimes used as a health aid, such as in treatment of dysautonomia.

But to answer your question excess salt consumption can lead to exercise-induced asthma. On the other hand, another source counters, "
