Ways to stop thoughts of Suicide, and Depression, No Thearopy/tell someone.?!


Question: please I need help but not from my mom/teachers or a theropist. and please don't report this question this is real, I need ways to deal with this. Please.

I would never Commit Suicide I just have the thoughts
and I have been depressed non stop since I was 10

I don't want to tell my mom.
She will think I want to die but I dont

Well i am 14 and i have been the same way. Things i try to do is band and athletics and i always am trying to go to the mall and be with my friends. You Dont have to tell anyone because that could just be more pressure and then make you think about them more you should try to stop talking about them and maybe go outside and play with a few friends

P.S. I REALLY hope you life gets better!!!

iight, so I used to be depressed to.

I don't even know why.

I was fat, then became anorexic because of it.

Then one day, I ran.

I felt alive, I felt...happy.

I felt good about myself. I let me tell you I
HATED running. Now I am the happiest person I know
and I LOVE to run.

I'm not saying runnings definatly for you,

but at least try.
Even if you can't finish one mile.
Try at least 3 times a weak.
Run for 15 minutes, and keep trying until your

good at it and can run with out stopping.

Trust me,
I have 50+ reasons for why runnings good and here they are



1. It is a great stress reliever

2. For once it actually alows you to run away from your unescapeable life

3. It helps me relieve stress and become more happy.
4. It make you more mature

5. It makes me more likly NOT to procrastinate

6. It keeps me in shape.

7. It the only time you can be off track, and still be in the right place.

8. It lets me think over all my problems and figure out what to do.

9. It helps me decide what I want to do with my life

10. It makes me more secure with myself

11. It make my life seem absolutely perfect at the moment

12. It helps me forget about all the unforgetable mistakes I made

13. Theres no competition in it, no one else, just me and the wind burshing up against my cheeks.

14. It's the best friend you can have,it's there for you, it shows you the trail ahead, it keeps you happy, and it doesn't start fights.

15. It makes me feel smart, accepted, and like I can do ANYTHING

16. It has obsticles like in life, it's hard going up hill, but when it's all down hill it's easy.

17. If you can accomplish just running, you realize you can accompplish ANYTHING

18. It helps me realize what the real important things are in life other than the opposite gender, sex, and being "bad".

19. It's something I look forward to everyday, and is always there for me, unlike alot of people.

20. It makes you more creative, and helps you grow at the right speed, but you still end up more mature.

21. It builds self confidence and always leave you thinking "I can and WILL do this"

22. It makes me love the thought that I am one of the few kids that can run for long, still want to run more AND am in better shape than most kids && adults.

23. It actually makes you more down to earth and outgoing

24. It makes me want to try more new things, and do more

25. If I have had a hard day at school then come home to a family thats not any better, I can always just look forward to running the hills. They've never left me.

26. It makes me want to learn different routs that I can take, in running, and in life.

27. It lets me know I can get away from my life when ever I need too

28. The time I'm running seems endless, but when I stop I just want to start again.

29. It makes me look forward to the end of the run, tomorrow, the day after that, and what ever else comes next in life.

30. It lets me know that I am different

31. And most importantly, it makes even a world as twisted and cruel as ours seem so beautiful.
32. It helps me find my "inerpeace".
33. It creates not only maturity, but understanding.
34. When you're down and other people put you down it makes you feel great, and better than what they say
35. It helps me trust myself, my body, and the world to lead me in the right direction.
36. It's on thing most people hate, but give it a chance, and it will give you the key to a better door
37. With a little bit of music it can take you to a whole new place
37. It create a drama free life and shows you what you really want.
38. Even if you have the best life you could imagine, it only makes it better!
39. If you have an OK life or a it could be a lot better but you don't know how to change it life running shows you that once you learn to love it life can be best no matter what!
40. It's so fun/great to run even WALK around your neighborhood in the evening because you get to see the lives of others and take a guess on whats going on with them
41. It makes you know that you're worth more then what they say you are
42. It shows you other things in life more then just the opposite sex, drama, and boredom
43. It shows you your place and makes you a little bit more sure each time of who you want to be.
44. When things are confusing it sorts it all out in your mind so you are happier and less confused.
45. Not only does it make you love running and life, it makes you love nature and feel apart of the earth.
46. It makes you smile for no reason even when every thing is wrong
47. It makes you less worried about what other people think of you just of what you think of your self
48. It makes you smarter in the brain, the gut, and most importantly the heart.
49. It makes you feel apart of something bigger, and out of this world.
50. It lets you trust yourself enough to stop, close your eyes and just feel and here the wind beside you, in front of you, inside you just enough til you feel your self dissolve into the earth, and you are worth something big, and apart of something so small, but so powerful. Something so...beautiful

There is not ONE thing I can even think of thats better than this.

Try doing some things that keep you entertained or pick up a new hobby. It might help a little.

Sweetie, I have been there and it only gets worse. You need to see the doctor and get real help, not Y!A help. You will need medicine and possibly the opportunity to talk to someone. I know it is not what you wanted to hear, but you need to hear it.

yo, i like to build **** when I feel like that (which is a lot of the time) Like i'll design destructive weapons, like a chainsword or a rocket launcher and then I'll put them together. I think about turning my rage into somthing not momentarily but definately eventually destructive.

get together with friends and just hang out. that doesnt mean that you have to tell them about this, just hang out. talk about random things that make you laugh! thats what i would do! and i do do that!

I think we have a very similar problem. I keep mine bottle up and just cry privately but tht dosent work. Add me on your contacts list and email me so i can tlk. If you dont want 2 its ok

well i have one of the strongest and sureest minds around and i thought i could do it alone and guess what i can't. if you know you have depression well then what you should do it go talk to one therapist. but i realize you can't or wont' mabye. well let me give you my experiences. i tried when one of my sons got into lots of ftrouble and i thought iw iould be ok. well i was not it slowly gets worse and wrose and you can't sleep eat and alof of things happen. it slowly gets worse not better now matter how hard to work it i wouldn't report you i am sure you can think you can do it but please think about this if i can't and i know i can't you surely can't but think abot it long and hard. you will feel so much better aboutyourself and others andbe happier with thelp take care

well you wanting to stay alive is a good start just try to find something to do go out hang out with friends make new friends get a puppy that helped out a girl alot ummm i get thoughts of that too but i just try to was them away with music or i play my guitar

You need God in your life. Dr Phil, astrology, nothing is going to help you but only searching for God. Go to church next Sunday and pray tonight to God to help you. God is the only answer to fill the emptiness that you feel inside and that nothing else can fill up, and nothing will.
Why do you think all those people like Britney spears, Lindsay Logan and Paris Hilton aren't happy and they are always in trouble??? Because all the money they have together cannot give them happinesss. Only God can give you happines and peace in you mind and most of all, your soul.

my guess is its just anxiety if your not thinking about commiting suicide yourself, i used to have the same problem when i was 12 i used to think about things like that. You should really think this through "do i really need to be thinking these thoughts?, mabye i shouldent be so ennui." if not then you should really talk to a school counsaler about these things. Since i was 12 iv just been fighting this thing and figuring things out on my own but somtimes its just better if you talk to people and to clear your head, or just write about it mabye itll get it off your mind so you can think about the good things in life.

i think we all do i mean i have before and i don't think i am an unhappy person per say but if u have friends hang out with them make sure they are happy not depressed because usually people tend to take on the feelings of their peeps u know. or invest time in reading if your not a book pearson i u should find something u can do with large groups or even by yourself that keeps u happy. depression is a pain in the. . .for lack of more powerful words booty and if it gets worse u may consider help but remember dr. phile is kinda creepy so try to get better before ur mom makes u go on the show!

but it lets u see life from a new perspective.. and opens your mind to many things..
hardly any dangers..
and weed btw.. has way too many medical benifits to name.. as opposed to the like 2 downside's to it

You need help.
Professional help.
It's okay to need help.
Suicide is a permanant answer to a temporary problem.
You will grow out of this IF you are willing to grow.
Growth is pain; change-painful change at times.
Your thoughts may not go away completly. but you will have experiences where you will look back at this time and say to yourself, "How foolish, I'm so happy to be able to be alive for this".
What's funny, and hopefully you laugh, is that the experience which triggers this thought might not be a 'good' experience.
You just need to know that you will get through, and things will get better. Just this thought alone will help you get through the next one.

Apart from just praying and seeking God, there is no other option for you. You might as well just suck it up and go see a doctor. Just tell your mom that you need a counselor to talk to. You will not get locked up for thoughts of suicide like you are having. As long as you don't want to commit suicide and you don't have a formulated plan, you are in no danger to you or others and it is ok to talk about it. I held in so much stuff like this for so long and it RUINED years of my life, please just try talking to someone. And not just once, really talk to someone. Give someone a chance to get to know you and help you. If the first counselor you see doesn't help, try another. Don't give up. Sometimes it takes a few to find the right one. The good thing about therapists is that they legally cannot tell your parents what you say unless you are dangerous to yourself or others. So it is a private way for you to deal with what's going on ok? So take care of you!!!

There's nothing wrong with thinking about death. That's good that you're not planning to end your life. A couple of years ago i felt really depressed for a while. I am very cheerful now in high school because Im much happier being happy. Just tell yourself to be happy, no one likes depressed people, they're depressing.

u know being a teenager for some is the hardest and most confusing time of there lives i know my teenage life was like this and it seemed as if it was to hard and why continue with life but life does get better and easier.

Half the problem is when your a teenager u are trying to work out who u are and u feel lost most of the time but this is normal u have so many hormones racing through your body so many changes and life got really complicated all of a sudden.

As hard as it seem like it is now it will get better and loads of others are feeling the same as u. Can u talk to a older family member or a family friend that is older . Its just good to talk sometimes as your head is probably spinning half the time.

Just remember life does get better and things do seem to get easier - hang in there - its worth it .

uh i'd say you need real help from doctors and professionals but since you clearly state that you don't want to, i'd suggest thinking differently.
instead of thinking why you want to die, think of why you wouldn't want to. think of all the people who love you and think of how they'll feel when you're gone. imagine it this way, imagine you're being taken by some uhh spirit thing into the future [like a christmas carol kind of scene]...and you see your parents, friends and relatives crying and living miserably without you and because you're gone, these thoughts will then flow into their minds and they might think of killing themselves.
also, try thinking of all the things to look forward to in life. you're a teen, so you're still young. there's so much that you need to experience and look forward to [ex. new movies, new games and food you've never tried!]
If this doesn't help and you really still feel depressed then you'll need medication, which can only be prescribed by a doctor...sorry to say.
just chill with the people you love, it'll help with your thoughts and feelings.

You wouldn't believe the effect that even a little exercise can have on your state of mind. Do you drink a lot of caffeine? If so, it might be worthwhile to stop and see if things improve. Sleep is also a big issue, if you're not getting enough of it. When you've got a good sleep schedule (at least 9 hours), are eating healthy foods, are drinking plenty of water, and are getting plenty of exercise (jogging is great), then you should see immediate improvement. Do you get enough time to yourself, just to relax? Maybe find some new music to listen to and just get away for an hour or two a day. If you're more of a social person, you could try surrounding yourself with friends. The only downside to that is that a lot of people use friends to drown out issues in order to not deal with them. Keep a journal so that you can record any progress. It'll help you pinpoint the root of your problems.

Talk to a close friend, school counciler or sibling.

Depression is often related to having new feelings from puberty and not knowing how to deal with them. Also realize that depression and anxiety often go hand in hand. So if you feel anxious in certain situations, like talking in front of the class or hanging out with new people or whatever the situation may be, this can affect feeling down too.

The key to dealing with depression is to be willing to accept you have problem and you need help to deal with it. Obviously you need help otherwise you would not have asked yahoo answers. Occupying yourself with hobbies and socialization will only work to a point. They will help you keep you mind off your negative feelings, but they won't actually help you to resolve them.

Saying you are not willing to talk to your parents, your teachers, a therapist is basically saying you're not willing to get help. Until you can accept the fact that you need help and actively do what you need to to get it, you'll not resolve these feelings and they will get progressively worse. I'm not saying this as joe shmoe. I'm saying this as person who has not only studied psychology, but who has been in similar situations as yourself.

Understand just because you are depressed doesn't mean you are a freak or a loser or bad or crazy. It doesn't mean anything other than you're human. So take care of yourself and get help.

I think you need to get involved in something--a job, a hobby, band, positive forums SOMETHING so instead of thinking about how depressed you are

Take an empty medicine bottle or container, get a q-tip dip it in any of those oils of choice and put the q-tip in the bottle. Smell it throughout the day.
