Is It Bad/Strange That I Think About Suicide Alot? What Should I Do Go To Doctor!

Question: Well I certainly don't think it's strange.
It is not uncommon at all to think about these things, some people just tend to focus on them though and not on the root of the thought. Some people are prone to depressive thoughts and some people have life a lot harder so tend to think about escape even more.

What you need to understand is that suicide is not an answer. It is not an escape route, it is a weakness.

You are strong enough to get through whatever it is that is pushing you towards thinking this way (I know because you took the step to ask this question right here) Chances are, you're not sure what exactly it is that makes you feel this way, and for that, YES seeing a specialist or a psychologist could definitely be benificial.

Life can be tough but remember there is ALWAYS someone who cares about you, I mean look at all these perfect strangers who care enough to have taken time out of their lives to talk to you! There is always another option, I don't think suicide is even an option (but i used to think about it all the time too). Now I try focus on the positive thoughts like, hey...if I did do something like that, what if tomorrow, something was going to happen that would change my life for the better forever? Or what if, tomorrow i meet the love of my life (it happened) or what if...tomorrow my gran fell and broke her hip and really needed me there to support her (also happened)...and my favourite...what if...i never got to see the sun set on the sea again.

So you see, it's never really a good time to go, tomorrow always brings another adventure and more possibilities!

Hang in there, there's always something worth waiting for!
I promise!!!!

how old are you?

Yea, get an appointment today. Also, call 1800suicide.

Thinking about it is one thing, if you are actrually considering going through with it then yes i would say its best to see a doctor. You might need pills or counselling.

Everyone has problems, but usually a doctor can be avoided and if a friend is there for you to help with your problems. talk to a friend you can trust or someone that you can...trust! lol! anyways don't think about suicide and get on the good life, find ways to enjoy your life. When your thinking about Suicide the next time, think about the things your going to miss out, the games, the movies, the people, the news, whats going to happen to the world, and the future!

Your right, you need to talk to your doctor about this...he or she can talk to you and find out why you have been having these thoughts. Please don't delay, you owe it to yourself and your family to get this sorted out!

Its not bad or strange but you do need to seek help.

OH yeah self destruction is against HUMAN nature from all points of view.
SO go see a doctor that's not right

IT IS DEFINITELY NOT THE RIGHT TRAIN OF THOUGHT TO BE HAVING. YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY GO AND SEE YOUR DOCTOR AND TELL HIM/HER HOW YOU FEEL AND THINK.

it is bad. definately go to the doctors so you can arrange to see a psycologist. this all depends on your condition. what i mean by this is are you a bit of a loner, are you someone that spends most of their time indoors. these people have too much time to think and are so bored out of their minds and depressed they obsess over ending it. if thats you just go out more and get some hobbies and try new things. but like i said i think seeing a psycologist would help as its not right to continually think about it.

Go to the Doctor and don't be afraid to be honest, there is nothing they haven't heard before. Always, always remember that suicide is a permanant solution to a temporary problem.

It's bad when anything in your head interferes with your every day life in a negative way. When you obsess over the house being clean, you can probably shrug that off. When you think about suicide a lot... eh, I'd err on the side of seing a psycologist or a doctor on that.

i was like that, im clinically depressed.

Please seek professional help...your life is very important to all of us! You may be going through some hard times, but we are here to support you through it! You seem like a very nice person, with a bright future ahead of you, better days lie ahead...hang in there, we need you! Go see a doctor and explain to them, you have felt a little down and out, and then they will be willing to help you out! Good Luck and have a great day!
