These tablets can be addictive but only if you think they are what makes you feel better. In truth they are synthetic and basically tranquilise you. The truth is you make you feel better. Louise Hay describes depression as "Anger you feel you do not have a right to have. Hopelessness." This means you are allowed to be pissed off with your life and any of the details of it, including your family and friends (who are sometimes not really friends at all). Dont deny any anger you have. At present it sounds like it is coming out in confrontations that you will inevitably attract to yourself when you have this under brooding of anger that you are not acknowledging, releasing or accepting. This state of resitance and tension saps all of your energy and feeds back into the cycle. You can get off this cycle, it isnt forever.

Depression can help you to realise wonderful things about yourself and the world around you. It is actually liberating as it forces you to take control of your life, make decicions for yourself regardless of what others may think, including taking anti depressants. You know yourself better than anyone and you need to trust yourself again. Once you come out for yourself and take your power and eternal freedom back you will feel it in your belly and you will know it is right. Get a punching bag or take up running or some type of physical activity. These things help to rid your body of anger and channel it in a way that doesnt hurt you or anyone else. It may take a while to get it all out. try writing all the things that annoy you down on paper this helps to clarify your thoughts and get them out rather than have them racing round in your head draining your energy and making you tense. Forgive yourself if you get fired up at something or someone and you know its not them or the situation its just the anger inside you built up.

Dont judge yourself or others. See only that which is beauatiful in this world and ignore everything else. Soon you will see that there is beauty everywhere, including inside you. Good luck and remember that your doctor is always trying to do the right thing by you, so listen to him/her but always keep your own counsel and make you decisions based on what you feel. Western medicine is very limited and relies on medication alot. It doesnt really understand in practice anything about the human soul and why this world of money and materialism we have created makes people depressed (though its not hard to see why!). Your not alone and this cloud over you will clear. Just get back to your truth and live it. No fear. Allow yourself to love yourself and others, doing something for someone else is the same as doing something for yourself and will make you feel better, just detach yourself from thier expectations and thier response to your favours.

One last idea, get out in nature, it speaks the timeless truth and will help heal you. Watch an eagle fly or fish swim in a stream and know that you and they are one and that something so beautiful such as you or them cannot stay angry or sad for long. Happiness is your natural state. Do you ever see a bird depressed? Its beacuase they know the truth, they are free and they live thier freedom. Or Just sit amoung the trees and stop thinking. Feel your connectedness with all and you will heal yourself.

Take care.

if you can beat the depression without meds then that is great.some people cant.it really depends what tablets you have been given.prozac is quite easy to come off in my experience but seroxat is harder which i take now but if i wasnt on it i wouldnt be hear now so you have got to way up the pros and cons.i think i could get off it again as i have once before but im happy on it at the moment.what have you been given? why hasnt the doctor been back in touch with you.

sometimes when you take a certain medication for so long it doesnt work as well cause your body gets use to it.. thats when its time to talk to your doctor and let your doctor know its not working well for you anymore.. usually the doctor will find a new depression medication for you that will work better.. it usually will take i think 2 weeks sometimes for the medication to show its true results in you and how they are going to work for you.. (might have to ask your doctor on that regard what he gives you).. but the change of medication always helps..

yes coming off meds is hard.. having withdrawls.. specially if you go off them cold turkey.. i would never suggest anyone going off any medication at all unless they spoke with their doctor first about it..
