Can no self-control be a mental illness?!

Question: i swear i have no self control when it comes to certain things. i will tell myself no, dont eat that (for an example) and then ill spend some time feeling glad i didnt, and then ill break down and eat it, while rationalizing why. why do i do this constantly? is there a way to break it? could it be a mental illness?? am i just crazy?? i think so.

Once you get the satisfaction of the self denial, you are rewarding yourself with the thing that you wanted to deny yourself. Try rewarding yourself with something that has nothing to do with the object of desire (like: Yay! I didn't buy the cheesecake, I should buy a few songs on itunes to reward myself).
Change your rewards every time for the best results. Good luck!

It's not mental illness, it's lack of self-discipline. The way to break it is to be stronger than your desires. Just don't give in to the little rationalizing voice in your head.

first of all, NO ONE WITH A MENTAL DISORDER IS CRAZY.
just getting it out there, cause i have ADHD and bipolar disorder, although my disorders take over sometimes, i know i'm not crazy.

no self control means you're just lazy. you need to make a commitment to yourself and not beak. go to a nutritionist.

yep tahts sounds like a mental issue, see a therpist and you wil begin to feel better
