I once had that dread and it actually happened, but I got over it and the world did not collapse, there is always someone to help and get a phone. From now on walk home with friends and have a laugh and share those thoughts with them we all have freaky thoughts to sort out, and thats all they are!!! Anyway you are right to take care - its sensible but not to panic. I think its all part of growing up and having a sense of belonging and the boundaries you know to be safe and hate the thought of change.

Get a cell phone, that way you can call your mom or whoever or even call a taxi.

i actually felt the same when i was at school as well . here is the trick: u keep giving compliments to urself. for example u tell urself well im strong enough if she didnt show up , im not afraid of anyone , i might meet someone interesting by accident if she was late . keep giving urself such compliments, even if u dont believe in them , u will later on if u keep saying that to urself :)

hope i help
