Question: Okay, so I am addicted to porn but I am a christian and I am really young and I want to stop so bad! I have never told anyone in my life. I love the LORD but I am afraid that I will go to hell because I have been looking at stuff inappropriate for my age. I don't want to download any filters or go to anybody for help. I want to make it as secret as possible. What should I do???

Please read the story of Adam and Eve again. Do you recall how they tried to cover themselves with fig leaves? Did it help? Did their 'cover up' actually get them anywhere? No. Of course not. You feel shame, but you have got to realize that that sin has already been paid for. This is not a shock to the Lord. He is not surprised that you have this problem. Take it to the cross and take it to a trusted minister who will help you through this with the proper counseling and guidance. You have got to have accountability to get over this., Otherwise, you are going to die spiritually. Is it worth that? Is it worth your soul? you are not going to Hell because of this, but you are not going to have God's peace in your life either. You must realize that there is not one sin that the blood of Christ cannot cleanse. Pray and pray. You cannot look at porn and recite scripture at the same time. Annoint your computer with oil and pray. Those images are not worth your life. God has a wonderful woman in mind for you who will fulfill you in ways that you never imagined. There is so much more to sex than just the physical part. When you are in love and in a comitted marriage, there is a sould connection that will blow your mind. You cannot stay in total secrecy with this. I don't mean shout it from the rooftop, but you must find a trusted and capable Christian brother who will walk with you through this. DO you think this is a unique problem? Do you not realize that there are even ministers who are tormented by such sin? There is power in the blood of Christ my friend and Satan is selling you more than porn images. He is using your guilt against you. Do you not know that "there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus?" Walk in it. Breathe in the breath of Heaven and release the poison that Satan is pumping into your soul. You are valuable in the sight of Jesus. You are precious in His sight. Be holy. Be strong. Take courage. God is on your side.
Lord, help this dear one to face this battle. WE thank you that we are victors in Christ. Squelch the enemy in this young ones' life in the name and blood of Jesus we beseech your holy name. A-Men.
If you want to stop... then stop. There's no such as thing as "I want to stop but I can't".

I think you need to see a counselor they can be free or aat the most charge 25.00 do it ASAP and you will be fine belive in yourself it sound like you jave low self esteem tell yourself in the mirroe everyday I am a great person and today I will contribute to someone less fortunate than myself I will volunteer to read to the elderly on weekends or what ever you do pick something and do some great thing for your fellow man you will be rewarded 10fold

Well, if you really love and trust the Lord, you know the answer already. You don't need to tell a soul in this world about it. Just give it to the Lord and rely upon Him to take this indiscretion and lewdness away from you. If you really mean it when you ask, you know He will do it for you. I really don't think God will send you to hell because you have this problem, but if you are being convicted about it and you do nothing to make it stop, you will be help accountable for that. Take it to the Lord in prayer and leave it in His hands. It is the best way to deal with anything.
well u are not going to hell for that god will never punish u for something that small and god will always forgive u for what u did wrong. well u should go out and not stay on the computer and watch the porn vids and dont get the magazines either just go out with friends and try to avoid it and try to forget it, well i hope u get better gl (good luck)
is it at all possible for you to replace it with a brand new hobby - something to do with arts? science maybe? urges are a hard topic to deal with, but "Impossible is Nothing" ... and where there is a will, there is a way!
I personally deal with depression and learning and exploring new things (not s*xual ones) help me keep my mind off things I don't want me to be diverted to! therefore it is a tried and tested way!
Also I would strongly suggest that you pray! Ask God to help! He knows and He understands!

just because you believe in god doesnt mean your going to hell for being addicted to porn, if you dont like it and wanna stop im sure you can make it, but take it slow and dont pressure yourself cos you will make it worse for yourself mate, just start by start using it less, and keep going, stagger it out.
but look on the bright side mate, you could be addicted to much worse things, keep your chin up and u will be fine, good luck
you're young so this is expected, and rather than stop, just don't let the porn get out of hand, because it can.... everything in moderation
You may want to consider finding help, as addictions like these can easily get out of hand. You can go to a psychologist and work something out, I am not sure how old you are but I think you can sign something that legally binds the psychologist to be confidential (ie not tell your parents). If that doesn't work out you can ask a school counselor about the age requirements for therapy, etc. And you WILL NOT burn in hell for this. I can say that without any hesitation. Good Luck!
