There are many things that could be causing the pain but the least likely is her depression and anxiety. She could be experiencing a recation to her mediciation mixed with alcohol. That is very dangerous. She needs to read the information brochure that explains the medication and its recation and side effects with alcohol. It can be lethal.

She problaly is drinking hoping to kill the pain of her anxiety attacks and depression. Unfortuatnely, alcohol is a depressant and will only make her more depressed. It may make her feel less anxious but there is medication for that.

If you can, you may want to consult her doctor and let him know that she is drinking alcohol along with her medication. It may make a difference in what meds he gives. She also needs to see a psychiatrist for help and he need to be aware of her drinking problem. Chances are she will not tell them.

She also needs to see her family doctor for the pain in her arm and shoulder and this may be a good time for you to go with her and confindently tell him about her drinking problem and depression. I do believe that the arm and shoulder pain are not connected to her anxiety and depression. Unless, she is so tense ans stressed out she could be experiencing muscle spasams or tention pain.

Please try and get her medical help as soon as possible. You may even be able to telephone her doctor and talk to him on the phone. Good luck and hope it is nothing serious. This is a big burden for a daughter to have to deal with.

I have been there with my mother all of her life until she was in her mid seventies. She finally quit drinking and smoking and not longer has the anxiety or depression. It was the alcohol causing hers! She is 86 yrs old, sill driving and taking care of herself and doing well. So dear, there is a real chance you can help her. Just keep loving and being there for her. Please do not give up on her, people do change and get well.

God help you both. May he heal your mother and bless you!

You should get off the computer and call 911.

If she is taking meds that interact with alcohol you need to get her seen by a medical professional NOW

She could be having a heart attack.

Dont leave it to chance

call your mum closest friends or loved ones to watch over her. i think she needs someone that can take care of her.

well, she neeeds to stop drinking alcohol.
first of all, she's killing her liver, second: ALCOHOL IS A DEPRESSANT. if she already has anxiety and depression
IT'S MAKING HER WORSE.
her body is probably reacting to her drinking
and causing that problem.

if she loves you, she will listen to you and think
of your feelings that you don't want her to drink.
yes, it kills your bain cells and liver
but it's a lot worse when you have a mental disorder
cause alcohol is a depressant, which means you only
get worse by drinking it when you have a depression
problem and even on medication for that matter.

tell her you love her a lot, but you can't give her
sympathy if she's not gonna prevent her problems
from forming.

You should help her before its too late and you are the only one who can help her.Don't let her drink next time.

First, get her to the hospital. Second, support her efforts to attend an AA meeting. Know that it has to be her decision to attend, but if she does, I can guarantee that the support offered there will save her life.
