Any adults on Adderall??????!

Question: I have a really weird situation here that I need help with. I was put on 20mg Adderall xr twice a day in Dec 06, by March I lost about 30 lbs, but the medication wasn't as effective.. My Dr. increased my dose to 30 mg twice a day.. This dosage was a blessing, because I was sharp as a pin! However I did drop another 30 lbs and weighted in at 132 lbs by July 07.. Not a prob. bc I was really heavy, so it needed to come off... I was on Adderall for almost a year b4 I moved... I was out of work for a while so I took a break from the Adderall, but I didnt like the way I felt off the meds, I slowly reverted back to my hopeless blah-state.. My ADD is VERY severe.. After about a 3 week holiday from the meds I finally started taking the meds again, unfortunately 60mg a day was too much. I couldnt sleep at all, my neck, jaw and sinuses were tense - I felt like I was crawling out of my skin.. I dropped the dose to 30mg - same situation. I need some advice - I wonder if my dosage needs adjusting?

Once you have been off any stimulant for a while, the body resets. You would have to start your dose low, and work back up. The good news is that you can open up the adderallXR capsule and sprinkle out the beads inside. So if the 30mg is too much, try sprinkling half of it out in the morning (on applesauce or something like that) and then taking the other half in the afternoon. Give yourself about a week like this, and then slowly move up (maybe 30 in the morning and only 15 in the afternoon).

Start low, go slow.

Or - there is another new ADHD med on the market called VYVANSE. It has the same active ingrediant as AdderallXR, but with much less side effects. Something to talk to your doc about...

I suggest you look into EMPowerplus. That is a product manufactured by Truehope:
www.truehope.com
The EMPowerplus is used for bipolar, ADD, ADHD and a few more instabilities. It's biggest benefit is that it's natural and it brings you to health instead of dependance on uncomfortable meds.
There is also a besteller about it - written by Autumn Stringam. She had bipolar and she tells her survival story - how she was healthy, became ill to the point of psychosis and then, thanks to Truehope found her health again:
"A Promise of Hope"/Autumn Stringam

Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin are not for everyone. Strattera is a non stimulant ADD/ADHD medication that will not cause tensions and the "crawling out of skin" feeling. Some people find Strattera very helpful, others do not - as with all medications. Possibly you could talk to your doctor about this option.
