Questioning the long term effects of extacy use?!

Question: Just curious, there are a tonne of studies in the works and a tonne of speculation. But since it's a good ten years since I first tried ex I thought it was time to ask. And no this wasn't a one time thing, was an every weekend for a few year thing.

Anyway, yes symptoms. Memory loss, so much of it. I have zero short term memory now. Well not zero obviously but bad.

Anyone else have anything similar, just wondering.

interesting question. i'm not that sure on the answer either and i wish i was. definitely noticed short term memory is affected even with a small amount of use and in one of my psychology books there is a very distinct difference of two brain scans. one where the person has used ecstacy over a prolonged period and the other hasnt. could cause problems with the production of serotonin as it inhibits the neurotransmitter otherwise i wish i knew more but in my opinion you take any drugs you are bound to have some effects either long or short term. their not exactly considered unhealthy or bad for you for no reason.

I used to play around with e and other stuff you take while at raves and I did do it a few time a month for a few years (some years not that often, maybe a few times a year) and I have asked my friends during that period (we are all grown up now and hardly touch that stuff) whether they feel that anything has been impaired.

Some say their memory isn't as good.... but I have a good memory and always has done. I don't think its affected me in that way however I find that when I was younger, I could read really fast, but now I find that I read slower, maybe cos it takes longer for my eyes to focus..? Another friend has said she felt the same sometimes with the eyes focussing thing....

well i used to use dusters to inhale and i havent in a few years now but its very dangerous just like any drugs out thier even if it is sold in he stores to clean keyboards which a friend of mine introduced to me and then i had another friedns who was intoo huffing glade cans and but then i was a teenager a few years ago so yeah i tried thats stuff and it became more of a choice and then i used to smoke pot but i quit around the same time as huffing and this was all when i was a teenager and stopped in my late teens but yeah the memory thing is really affecting me and i cant remember things like i used to its like i have to lifve with the consequences of doing stupid things that cost something of me in harm
