What do you suggest for someone that procrastinates.?!

Question: I spend a lot of time on the internet instead of getting on my nursing school studies. I find myself with decreased motivation this semester and falling behind. What do you guys and gals suggest to light that fire back under my butt?

Use your Willpower.

Well..think about if you fail your class. How would you feel then?

You are getting depressed and addicted to the internet. Cure your depression and internet addiction and life will be much better. I'm interested in becoming a nurse, interestingly enough! Contact me by sending Yahoo message via email :)

Think about the good wages you'll receive after you are through with your studies. Also, do your studies first, then get on line. Also, congratulate yourself and give your self a small reward when you do get your work done. All of this requires self-discipline, which most of us have a tough time with. Good Luck.

I know nowadays there's a lot of distractions that causes a lot of youths to procrastinate, even avoid altogether to take worthier activities that will help them their lives in long term.

I think it's all in the mind. Just keep in mind, the clock is ticking and your future is at stake. If you realize the urgency, then you will shut down that computer and go learn the skills that will be your path to success.

I kind of have the same prob.

its good you realize what your doing isnt cool lol
its more of a reality check, do you want to be successful or what? Get this school work done, work your tale off
and then when you get older and are on a stable ground
you will have plenty of time to go on the computer. time managment it important

Give yourself a time limit everyday.
Say like today you going to go on the computer two times.. once in the morning and then at night to check whatever- hour each. Thats better than being on the computer for 5 hours straight. just try breaking it up
its baby steps really, trust me when you start to part away from the computer you realize how much time you did accutally waste and that it does feel good to be doing something. occupie yourself with working our or reading

do something that makes you feel good about yourself, dont let the computer rule your life. it will bite you in the ***.

this is coming from a 15 year old btw

why don't you try and reward yourself for that good test or quiz such has you can't have that starbucks coffee or day at the beach, etc. Also try studying at different places..library, coffee house, study hall etc. Good Luck........

For me what works is going to the gym and using the stationery bike while I do my reading. It'skilling two birds with one stone, plus I find it almost easier to concentrate on the bike than to concentrate anywhere at home.
